Hey my wine peeps!!🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏽 Here are my upcoming events📅 for any of you interested, I've got 2️⃣ winery tastings coming up.

For the first winery tasting we will be having wines from the Costers del Sio winery located in Lleida, Catalunya⛰️ in the Costers del Segre wine region. Everything these guys make is FABULOUS! seriously... 🎉fabulous. We'll be tasting 2️⃣ of their whites and 2️⃣ of their reds. Come check out and see how this winery is going to be on the top of your Catalan wine list!📋

For our next winery tasting we're travelling down south from Catalunya to Castilla la Mancha wine region Where we will be tasting monovarietal wines from Hacienda Albae as this is their speciality. We will be tasting a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Tempranillo. We will be able to smell👃🏼 and taste👅 the differences in all 4️⃣ of these grapes and get to know each of them intimately.

Hey my wine peeps!! I'm Maria Cristina👩🏼 founder of Wine Guide Madrid. I run this operation myself and dedicate 💯% of my skills and abilities to imparting my wine knowledge.

I am originally from Los Angeles, CA😎 and have been living my Madrid for 2️⃣0️⃣➕ years. I sold everything I owned and moved here with $900 and two suitcases🧳🧳 when I was 2️⃣3️⃣ yrs old all by my little self... but that's another story. I was a teacher👩🏼‍🏫 for 21 years and in 2022 I made a career change into wine!🍷

Always being a wine enthusiast I decided to make my love💜 and passion❤️‍🔥 for wine into my new career. I completed the WSET 1, 2, & 3 courses and began finding my niche in the wine industry. After dabbling in different areas I discovered that my lifetime of education skills were my greatest assets and began doing local tours and teaching people about wine and Spanish food🍽️ & culture.🏰

I discovered that the wine tourism area was PERFECT for me,🌟 it being an area where I can use my teaching and people skills to make learning about wine enjoyable. I love providing a fun space🎡 for people to feel comfortable in asking questions about wine, learning about Spanish food and culture, and making new friends👨🏾‍🤝‍👨🏽. I love making people feel that there is never a silly question🤓 about wine and to not feel afraid to ask anything, that is what I am here for, to guide you in the world of wine, hence the name Wine Guide Madrid.

This was SUCH a pleasant discovery at

This 💯% Garnacha Blanca from the Victor Ausejo Winery in the Rioja Oriental wine region is an incredibly elegant white wine that spent 8️⃣ months on its lees which you can instantly notice on the nose👃🏼 and then with its lovely creamy smooth taste and finish. I had 2️⃣ glasses of it because I just couldn't get enough!

The Victor Ausejo Winery makes a variety of wines, white and red, using Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Tinta, and Mazuelo grapes🍇. I am looking forward to trying ALL of his wines because if this bad boy blew my socks🧦 off I can't imagine what the others must be like.

If you enjoy elegant Garnacha Blancas that have spent some time on its yummy😋 lees, then run🏃🏼‍♀️ over to on Calle Ibiza and try this guy out with some tasty cheeses🧀 that pair beautifully with it. 🥳

This bad boy right here was a DELICIOUS Riesling that I had the pleasure of drinking at The Franchuteria here in Madrid 📍on Calle de Vallehermoso

This lovely Riesling embodies everything that is delicious😋 about Alsatian wines. With its golden color, citrus🍋 and floral🌼 aromas, this wine leaves a fresh taste on your palate with just the right amount of acidity, salinity, and minerality. I could not have ENOUGH of this wine, it was D-E- licious!!!!😋

You can also purchase it at La Franchuteria for €18.50💶, which is a hell of price considering how yummy it is. Swing 🚶🏼‍♀️by La Franchuteria to try it out and decide for yourself! This is definitely a wine for people who like body and structure in their white wines, plus this guy is POPPING with flavor! 🎉🎉🧨🧨

This here is a wonderful new discovery from Cantabria, yes that's right, Cantabria!

After meeting them at the Salon Gourmets last month, I visited their winery a few weeks ago and visited their breathtaking vineyards that are on 18º degree steep slopes where you have the most SPECTACULAR views! They produce Albariño and Godello wines that are citrusy with high acidity and that capture the essence of both of these grapes.

This here is their Godello, 100%
Fermented for 18 days in stainless steel tanks, then one month on its lees, this wine combines the minerality of the Atlantic while still offering the citrusy, white fruit and light floral aromas this grape has to offer.

If you are looking for a new and upcoming Spanish wine region and love Atlantic style white wines, this is the winery for you!

I enjoyed this lovely 100% Garnacha Blanca from Clos Farena in Priorat at in the mercado San Anton, where they have one of the most versatile wine lists i've seen in a while.

The wine was citrusy on the nose and on the palate INCREDIBLY fresh with high acidity. I generally don't drink many whites from Priorat so this was a nice and refreshing discovery for me😃 Then after we enjoyed a few glasses of Cava🤓

For this tasting we will be diving into the world of Italian wines. We'll be starting off in the Veneto wine region and finishing up in Sicily. We'll be going over the common Italian wine regions, grape varietals and learn about the different vinification processes. We'll be tasting four different wines starting off with Prosecco! This Rosé has been the most surprising Rosé I have EVER tasted!!🤩 I have had it twice at the wine bar where they have some of the most exclusive selection of Spanish wines in Madrid.

I am telling you, It was not what I expected. The color itself mesmerizes me as it has a dark rim with a deep cherry 🍒center. It has a meaty flavour while still maintaining elegance. It's aftertaste is wonderfully fruity and well balanced with a hint of oak. I usually prefer my rosés to be much lighter in color, crispier, and with higher acidity, but this rosé which is the opposite of that, was spectacular!

If you are looking for an incredibly enjoyable rosé that will surprise you, this is the one you have been looking for, you have got to try it!
