Hi everyone:
Many of you may be wondering at what stage is the book "Dry Fly Obsession", whose edition was programmed for the end of September or the month of October.
The work is in the printing since mid-September. Now, we are making the final corrections on the final layout. Next step…, printing. The previsions invite us to think that it will be ready in mid-November, which implies a delay of around a month due to the current situation of the COVID which slows down all processes.
I appreciate your patience. All those who are in the list reservation will receive an email to proceed with the final purchase and shipment of the work. Those of you who haven't booked it yet, you still can do it.

I have the pleasure of informing about the near edition of the work of all a life, I could say, obsession for “DRY FLY FISHING”. All those people that know me, know what I mean. This book will be available at the end of the summer or early in autumn in English and Spanish versions. This is a work developed in the last two years, where I share my dry fly technique, theories, tricks, leaders designs, configurations, equipment, materials, the last evolutions of the “Pardón de Meana” pattern, experiences, fishing for brown, sea trout and barbel on the dry fly etc.
Until then, I am working in the promotion, taking advantage of these difficult days that we are living. My intention is to avoid someone loos the opportunity to get a copy like happened with my last book “THE PARDÓN DE MEANA AND THE FEATHER OF GALLO DE LEÓN” (Spanish Version) sold out in few months after the publication in the 2011 year. Like then, this will be a deluxe limited edition, ideal as for collectors and for reading and consulting. The final price will be between 40 and 50 €.

Feedback of the trip to Spain with MEANA FLY FISHING EXPERIENCES -Writing this the 26th of October 2018.

My 3'rd trip to Spain and Barbel fishing 2018 is sadly over this year.
The first two trips were great, so I find it difficult to explain why the 3'rd was even better. But I will give it a go.
This year we experienced the great Ant swarming Luis told me about several times. It was an experience by itself just to watch the number of Ants on the shoreline and the water. Due to this, the fishing needs a little explaining, it was beyond that I could believe
The short version:
It was very difficult sometimes because of the share number of Ants on the water, then mixed with «normal» fishing, mixed again with a little easy fishing. A perfect mix of why I have sought out the barbel the last 3 years. Stalking spooky fish in the morning from the shore, and fishing from the boat in the afternoon is for me perfect.

I can not speak for my 2 friends who were joining me on this trip, but I know they had a trip of a lifetime.
In four days we all caught over 100 barbel each, maybe less, but probably more, but who is counting.

«The number of barbel is not important anyhow, but the way we catch it is more important».
A quote from my friend Luis, and those words rules.
Even with this amount of fish, it is always a different situation every time. There is always a next bay, corner, group of trees and another shoreline just waiting for you. This combined with the hard fighting fish the barbel is, truly makes this great.

Along with his friends, and co-workers, K**e, Siro, and Gabri..... Luis also gives you the full 5 stars feeling with accommodations, food, guiding and everything else you might think of.
After the first trip with Luis, I don't think so much.
You are in the best of hands, and I think you might get the feeling you went on a trip with a good friend, just like I did the first time fishing with Luis.

Fly fishing in SPAIN for freshwater-bonefish (Iberian Barbel) on the dry fly.

“Barbel fishing on the dry... what can I say. It’s visual, it’s sight fishing, it’s explosive, it’s hot, it’s like fishing on the moon ... it’s dry fly fishing for super aggressive fish in clear water. What’s not to like.
The smaller fish will give you a couple chances in the fly and are super aggressive; the bigger fish are wearier and provide a great challenge. But when you nail a big one, you know about it!

Unbelievable winter! Imagine fishing in December, January and February. You are stalking salmon in the stream of the river. Then, when the objective is fixed, you cast a small dry fly on the fish, a bit up river. The salmon rise looking for the fly, very slow, and finally, takes it. Explosive! This is our experience this winter fishing for barbel on dry fly. Catches over 6 pounds and, sure, stronger than a salmon. Very close home… Barely two hours of flight. If winter is so, can you imagine how is the rest of the year
