Are you one of those?

We just came back from the desert of Atacama, went to the folder that our passengers received with 519 photos from the trip and made a random choose, this is what came out.

This is quite an impressive tour and that is definitely not done for everyone, only the braves and those who are prepared will fulfill the dream of going from the coast up to the mountains of the desert and to San pedro de Atacama.

Tic, Tac, Tic, Tac. In just a couple of days a group of 10 passengers is leaving to Atacama, Chile.

From the coastal city of Antofagasta, through the desert and up to San pedro de Atacama, we will ride through the rugged beauty of the Andes and experience the thrill of conquering high-altitude trails surrounded by breathtaking vistas.

Getting ready for an adventure?

Knowing the set up you are going to carry and how the bike handles with the weight(in case you are doing a bikepacking tour) are some essentials to be sure of having a good experience, we will be cycling at least for 6 or 8 days in a row in our smallest tours and for more than 10 days in our biggest ones.

This are some tips that have worked for our passengers in the past and ensured that they will have the best experience possible.

- Try to cycle two or three days per week at least six months previous leaving for a tour and make one of those days a long day in the saddle.
- Be sure that you have cycled with the set up that you will carry in your bike in case you are doing a bikepacking trip.
- Try to know what works for you during a ride in terms of nutrition. How much do you eat?? What do you like to eat?? How much water you drink?

Yesterday in Milan at FIAB, I shared stories from Chino Verso Nord—a title that has become a declaration of intent, not just for me but for Pa-Cycling too. Next stop: Orvieto for the Triplo Sound Festival!"

This was my first serious bike packing experience, actually the very first at all.

After you pay (in my case, many months before) you start worrying about the “cycling part” (will I be fit enough? How will be riding such a heavy bike?).And of course you are missing the point: This trip is about the experience, the group, the landscapes, all the sectors you decide to ride alone, and all those you decide to help a travel mate or to ask a travel mate for help. Before starting you are afraid 12 days riding could be too much… And quite soon, too soon, you realize it is over and you start dreaming your next trip.

Very well organized, while keeping the spirit of the adventure.

A life changer.

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS!! Last year we made an effort that we knew was risky and absolutely not financially profitable, but we wanted to bet for it, cause we truly believe in this tour, Atacama. We decided that we were going to do the tour with the only passenger that signed up for it in 2023. Yes, you read well, we went to Atacama with just one person, because we wanted to show him, and all of you, how wonderful this part of the world is. Today, with just a few months to go again to the most arid desert in the world, we are very happy to say that there are still three chances for you to come, yes ONLY three, cause the other 9 slots have already been taken! So, you better hurry up to enjoy Mars, sorry Atacama!! The ship is getting ready to depart, and the cyclonauts are finalizing the details of their bikes to cross a land that is many of its places similar to Mars.

Have you ever wondered how many things you have to carry for a month in Mongolia accompanying two tours and a one week bike-rafting trip?? Well, our tour leader @natxop is leaving in two days to spend a month between the vast steppes of Mongolia and the mountains surrounding Ulaanbaatar. Nacho is guiding two tours and in between he will be exploring an area near ulaanbaatar with his bike and packraft. No we haven't introduced bike-rafting trips in our catalog...... yet... ;) Shall we tell to some of the passengers coming to this first group to show us what are they taking in their bags??
