The capital of La Moraña is a village that has a long fighting tradition. It is also an important example of Ávila's Mudejar architecture, and was declared a Historic-Artistic Site.

Also remarkable is the imposing castle, remodelled in brick, and with an exceptional circular keep. Within its walls, Queen Isabel the Catholic lived for some time. Two kilometres away from Arévalo we find the church of La Lugareja, the best example of Mudejar art in the whole region.

Typical dishes from the local gastronomy include roast suckling pig, also known as tostón or cochinillo de Arévalo

The event of the season reopens its doors at the Royal Botanical Garden from 2 November to 16 January, in Madrid, with a new installation that invite you to immerse your self in a maritime expedition through the ocean, its flora and its fauna.  

A total of 15 kilometres of led lights will turn the space into a surreal and special Atlantic Ocean, full of sea creatures that appear to be swimming throughout the route.😍💕🐟🐠🐙🦑🌲🌷🌺.

The traditional Spanish Festival of Transhumance returned to the streets of Madrid on Sunday, after being cancelled the year before due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than a thousand sheep and goats filled the street, diverting traffic away from the city centre.
The festival, which has taken place since 1994, is a traditional event which sees thousands of sheep "clogging" the main roads of the capital.

Every spring, the population of the small medieval Óbidos rises dramatically up to 200,000 people in 12 days as Obidos Chocolate Festival arrives. The town hosts the chocolate festival, often called Festival do Chocolate Obidos in Portuguese. Here you can not only taste the sweets but also have an opportunity to prepare some during cooking classes.

Ciudad Rodrigo, which has Historic-Artistic Site status, is a famous fortified town situated in the west of the province of Salamanca , very close to Portugal.
Its walls enclose a rich heritage of civic and religious.

The site on which Ciudad Rodrigo stands, a rocky hill on the banks of the river Águeda, has been populated since the Neolithic period. Around the 6th century BC, the vetones, a tribe of Celtic origin, founded the city of Miróbriga and settled there. Four centuries later, the Romans conquered the city and re-named it Augustóbriga in honour of the emperor Octavian Caesar Augustus.

Pontevedra, a city with a long maritime and trading tradition, boasts one of the largest and most elegant historic quarters in the whole of Galicia. Situated on the edge of the estuary of the same name, the old town extends in a network of streets and squares and contains major civic and religious buildings.

Called Ad Duos Pontes by the Romans, Pontevedra has over the centuries adopted a character profoundly marked by the sea, as demonstrated by the shipyards, fishing port and the city's intense commercial actvitity.

Popcorn Beach, or “Playa del Bajo de la Burra” as it is originally called, is one of the most interesting beaches in Fuerteventura. It is not your typical beach ,instead of rocks, pebbles, or sand, this beach is actually covered in popcorn. Well, not really, but the small white algae fossils that cover much of the coast look exactly like popcorn.

The Courtyards Festival of Cordoba - World Heritage!!!!😍🌸🌺💐🌷🌼🪴⛲️(3/16 May)

Due to the hot, dry Cordoban climate, the city’s inhabitants, - first the Romans and later the Moslems - adapted the typical design of the popular house to their needs, making the home centre around an inner courtyard (patio in Spanish), normally with a fountain in the middle and often a well to collect rainwater. The Moslems made further adjustments, giving the house an entrance from the street which passed through a porch, and filling the courtyard with plants to give the sensation of freshness.

Since 1921, the Town Hall has organised a competition of Courtyards and Crosses in May, and the owners decorate their houses with many flowers planted in beds and pots, which either hang from the walls or are placed on a paving specific to Cordoba to try and win the prestigious award offered by the authorities.

The moliceiros which we now see crossing the “Ria” were not always tourist boats. During the 19th century, they were used in seaweed harvesting. This seaweed consists of sludge accumulated in the bottom of the “Ria” which, after being laid down in threshing floors to dry, was used as a fertilizer in the sandy soils which belonged to farmers in the area.

This northern part of Spain is home to various prehistoric caves, of which the most famous of all is Altamira, awarded the World Heritage designation and known as the "Sistine Chapel of Prehistoric Art". Cantabria also lies on the famous Way of Saint James pilgrim route ,and its towns and villages contain a wealth of beautiful monuments, 🕍amazing beaches 🏄🏾‍♂️⛱and incredible gastronomy🍻🍴🦐😋.
