Modern Art Lovers! 👁️

This week sees the return of Art Madrid - the fair devoted to contemporary art - which is now in its 19th edition and is currently running until the 10 March 2024 at the Glass Gallery at Cibeles Palace.

Around 40 national and international galleries and more than 150 artists will be taking part in this year's event! A multidisciplinary affair, you'll find works across mediums such as painting, sculpture, graphic work, photography, digital art and video art of recent production (21st century).

Of the many great events you should check out, we highly recommend the INTERCESIONES X TARA FOR WOMEN cycle of performances. A timely event coinciding with International Women's Day. Did you know that, according to the Guinness Book of Records, Madrid's Sobrino de Botín is the oldest restaurant in the world? 🤯

Dating back to 1725 and known as Casa Botín to the locals, it's but a stone's throw from the Plaza Mayor in the heart of the city, where you can sit down and dine with history. 🍽️

Some fun facts: Francisco de Goya apparently worked in Botín as a waiter while waiting to get accepted into the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. The restaurant is also mentioned in an Ernest Hemingway novel and the book 'Fortunata y Jacinta' by Benito Pérez Galdós. 🤓
