The town and port of Mazarrón, in the heart of the Costa Cálida in Murcia, offers visitors a rich artistic heritage and a range of interesting leisure options on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The Bay of Mazarrón is sheltered by the last foothills of the Sierra de la Almenara, a mining area since the Carthaginian era.
Over 35 km of beaches, unspoiled coves and rocky sea beds make this the ideal place for relaxing in the sun, enjoying nautical sports and scuba-diving, and sampling the local gastronomy. In the port, the fishing dock and the fish market are a chance for visitors to learn more about the town’s seafaring tradition. A good way to do this is by visiting the Roman Salt Preserving Factory Museum , which features part of a large industrial complex dating from the 4th and 5th centuries which was used for producing foods preserved in salt.

La Mata y Torrevieja lagoons are in the county of Vega Baja del Segura, occupying part of the municipal boundaries of Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, the Montesinos and Rojales. It has a surface of 3.700 hectares. Declared as a nature reserve in 1996.

There are about 13,000 hectares of fruit trees in Cieza, mainly peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines and almonds, which come together to create a heady mix that transforms the landscape into a beautiful array of pink and white flowers.

This emblematic natural space is formed by a small "canyon" that for thousands of years the water has been sculpting on the limestone rock.

Hundreds of meters long and between ten and fifteen meters high , house inside small water sources, limestone forms on their walls and small lagoons, turning this place into a natural paradise of unparalleled beauty.

Just 15km from Benidorm and 3km from the centre of Callosa d’en Sarrià, Fonts d’Algar is a beauty spot where nature is at its finest. Equipped with tourist services, it was declared a Protected Water Area in 2002.

The oasis will show you the importance of water as an ecological, economic and cultural resource. During your visit, you can walk 1.5km along the banks of the river Algar, which in Arabic means “cave”. The pathway will immerse you in a landscape that is the result of the karst process on the limestone, composed of spectacular waterfalls, springs and sources that bubble up out of the rock, as well as the “tolls”, pools where you can take refreshing dips in the pure and crystalline waters. In the past, Fonts de l'Algar was considered a “fountain of health”.
