➡️ El Ayuntamiento de Monda, presenta el próximo viernes 29 de Julio a las 22:30 h en la Plaza de la Constitución a La Perra Blanco, el mejor grupo de rockabilly español del momento, conducido por Alba Blanco, que toca y baila sin parar (y que algunas fuentes emparentan con el mito flamenco Camarón).

🎸🎸 Desborda energía sobre el escenario y está dispuesta a vencer los estereotipos en un mundo de hombres.
Es una rockera de los pies a la cabeza, porque como ella dice, el rock and roll se lleva en las venas.

Acompañando este concierto , la plaza albergará el Street Art, que será el punto de encuentro de artistas locales de nuestro municipio ,y dónde podremos disfrutar de una exposición como mucho arte.

Barranco Blanco

A beautiful picture taken by our lovely guests of this stunning natural ravine - only 10 minutes away from Casa del Capitán.

The constant water source from the surrounding Sierra de Mijas means the river has a steady flow of water all year round.

Barranco Blanco is steeped in history. This beautiful spot was allegedly used during and after the Second World War, due to the friendship between Hi**er and Franco. In more recent times the TV commercial for Timotei Shampoo was filmed under the waterfall.

Well worth exploring 🌲☀️🌲

Lots of activity in the forest down the road last week 🇪🇸

The long-awaited Netflix series Black Mirror returns and one episode is being shot entirely in Malaga province

This is the second week of filming by the British production company Broke and Bones and it has used locations in Marbella, Estepona and an estate between Monda and Ojén so far

Casa del Capitán
‘One of the best finds - a hidden gem.
This place is very different to most as you are gaining exclusive use during your stay - so it does need to be booked in advance.
Heather is the most wonderful, friendly host you will find, with fantastic knowledge of the surrounding towns and villages.
Immaculate shower room and toilet for your sole use, as is the whole pool area. The views over the pool to the mountains are spectacular and perfect for watching the sunsets. Drinks, beers and wines are available (honour system).
Great walks in the area, about 30 minutes walk into Monda village and wonderful woodland trails in the hills above the house. The property is up a track from the main road, a 7 metre, high top, Sprinter van had no problem at all.

Yesterday’s high was 39 degrees 🫠

The temperature on our hillside is always a few degrees higher than town in summer. Only two things to do… pool and cool drinks 🍹

Great walk this morning, amazing scenery - feeds the soul and makes you happy to be alive. Had to cut it short though as the temperatures were heading into the 30s, and it was only 11am.

Casa del Capitán is nestled in the Sierra de las Nieves National Park and surrounded by natural forest, woodland, and nature trails 🌳☀️🌳

So this is the longest motorhome we’ve had at Casa del Capitán to date - 7.5 metres long including the box on the rear.
A nifty piece of driving required by the owner to navigate the two challenging parts of our 1200 metre long track - nerves of steel if you ask me - only 2cm ground clearance at times! 🏅🏆🏅

Fantastic guests, champion motorhomers, left everything immaculate, ‘leave no trace’ at its best.

Amazing, vibrant, cosmopolitan, Málaga.
Thankfully the tourists are back and with them the chatter and buzz of holidaymakers enjoying this beautiful city.
Three cruise ships docked today, including ‘Wonder of the Seas’, the largest cruise ship in the world. 362 metres long and carrying over 6,000 passengers.
In total an extra 11,000 visitors were expected in the city today, and boy did Málaga welcome them - musicians, street acts, food stalls, artisan markets - the atmosphere was truly electric 🇪🇸
