Really looking forward to getting back to Marbellamar next week. Sun, sea, sand and redecorating!

It'll be looking lovely. All ready for our regular winter guests, who I'm guessing can't wait either.

After a challenging 18 months, it feels like some normality is in the air. Indeed. our first UK guests for over a year will be in the air tomorrow, flying out to revisit us, their first overseas holiday in ages. Really chuffed they chose to return to Marbellamar!

It's been lovely to welcome so many Spanish families, taking their own 'Staycations'. Thank goodness for Duolingo and Google translate!

But UK guests returning feels wonderful.

So Dominic Raab has said we can all 'start thinking about foreign holidays'.

Meanwhile the Spanish and the French have booked up virtually all our summer dates.

All available dates are on our website, on here and below in comments.

We operate a Covid guarantee, so will gladly reschedule or refund as preferred, if regulations prevent travel.

Not a bad day for news today.

- Spain’s Andalucia predicts travel to be permitted as of May – Olive Press News Spain

- El Caminito del Rey To Open Again Next Friday, March 12. Obviously, we can only think about it for the time being. or not think about it, if you aren't happy with heights.

- And Expedia (VRBO) have awarded us Premier Host. This award is based on the quality of reviews, bookings taken and our Covid19 responses.

Clearly, it's early days, but who's joining me for a glass of Cava later?

How fabulous to get a confirmed booking for later this year.

Our guests have the view from our terrace as their screensavers. It's kept them going during the past 12 month.

Should have been here today! Sangria in the beach bar? Walkway up to the marina? Dinner at Alberts? Or a simple afternoon watching the world go by, with lunch on our terrace? And back to the real world! I'll be doing what most of this years guests have done - reschedule for later this year. Easyjet have allowed their passengers to amend their flights to any more suitable date. I'm doing the same. So any of my guests can reschedule their holiday to either later this year, or sometime next year.
