Our first guests in 4 months have arrived today from the UK.
Happy Days!
(typed with not a little jealousy!)
Should have been here today!
Sangria in the beach bar? Walkway up to the marina? Dinner at Alberts? Or a simple afternoon watching the world go by, with lunch on our terrace?
And back to the real world! I'll be doing what most of this years guests have done - reschedule for later this year.
Easyjet have allowed their passengers to amend their flights to any more suitable date.
I'm doing the same. So any of my guests can reschedule their holiday to either later this year, or sometime next year.
Bookings have been brisk this month - could it be our lovely weather?
If you are thinking of summer school holidays in the blazing sunshine, all we have left now is up to 9 nights between Sat 26th July and Tues 3rd August.
Or from Sat 22nd August onwards.
To keep flight costs down, we take bookings from any day to any day, for any number of nights.
(subject to a minimum of 5 nights)
This month's guests must be enjoying themselves. They just booked for 6 weeks in 2021!
I'm actually quite jealous!
Fiesta Week in Fuengirola, Andalucia
This weekend sees the start of the week long Fuengirola Fiesta. The Spanish certainly know how to party!
Processions, awesome street food, dancing in the streets, lots of horses, flamenco, the biggest fair ever and fantastic outfits worn by children and adults alike.
Thanks to our regular guest Deborah Davies for these pics, they really capture the atmosphere.

We are already taking bookings for 2020, perhaps unsurprisingly after the school holiday weather.
Wish you were here? I certainly do, although its a bit too hot for me right now, even with 4 pools, sea breezes and super cool air con throughout.
On a cold, damp Sunday what could be nicer than a beach bar themed slideshow. Here's just a small selection of lovely places.
We now have limited availability for 2019.
Any 7 nights between 3rd September & 5th October £600 for up to 4 people.
Any 7 nights between 12th October & 5th November just £515.
Skyscanner seems best for flights.
Some pics of the apartment itself. We have actually modernised the bedroom furniture since these were taken - hours of Ikea fun was had!
We've also added extra workspace to the kitchen, and a small oven.
New ultra efficient air con has been installed in both bedrooms and living room area. Wonderfully cooling but silent.
I know most people don't go to Andalucia for the flowers, but May is magnificent along the walkway amongst the sand dunes. Not many out when I was there but here's a taster. Access the path at the lookout Tower, after the marina. Exit just before my favourite beach bar, a short distance along the sand.
I love this section of the walkway. Cabopino to Las Chapas via the dunes behind Andys Beach bar. By next month these SSSI designated dunes will be spectacular, with yellow, purple, white flowers, butterflies and birds. Some fabulous picnic spots or a good little beach bar at the end.
Update: I've added a couple of pics. After a lovely lunch.
Stunning weather here today. Beach day it is then.
