Mas Sant Nicolau is a haven for lost souls! Meet Nica, We found her lost or abandoned late at night on a local forest track a couple of weeks ago, so we took her in. And what a lucky girl - regular guests Silvia and Josep happened to be staying, and offered her a forever home! So they named her Nica - from Sant Nicolau. A visit to the vet confirmed that she had no chip, and that she has a form of leishmaniosis (treatable, thankfully). And this weekend she's come back for a visit - what a happy dog she is now!

200 YEARS AGO today, Narcís Monturiol, from Figueres, invented the submarine. Made of wood, and tested in the port of Barcelona, a replica can be seen today in the Barcelona Maritime Museum. A statue of Narcis Monturiol is on the Rambla in Figueres.

“Petit logement perdu au milieu des champs de blé et des forets de chênes, loin des foules touristiques. Logement rustique mais très complet. Très grand terrain ou l'on peut profiter facilement de toutes les activités proposées (tennis, boules, piscine ect ...).
