💕Pink season is upon us!

☀️To celebrate the sunshine and longer days, we’d like to share one of our favourite Mallorcan rosés for you to sip this spring:

🍷Margalida Llompart Rosé by Macia Batle.

🍓Think wild strawberries, stone fruit,watermelon, ripe red berries and citrus zest in a glass. It’s fresh and vibrant with a beautiful mineral finish.

🍇 Mantonegro & Cabernet Sauvignon

🍉 Made by keeping those black grape skins in contact with the juice for a short amount of time (aka a short maceration), drawing out just the right amount of flavour, aroma and that lovely pink hue.

🥗 Pair with grilled fish, Mediterranean salads or simply a good sunset!

🤩Each year, Bodega Macià Batle creates a limited-edition wine with labels designed by different artists, making every bottle a collector’s piece. We love that each year has its own unique design!

🍇The Collecio Privada is a blend of Mantonegro, Callet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, aged in French and American oak

✨It tastes like ripe blackberries, plum, warm spices with hints of vanilla and chocolate…. YUM

🥂Founded in 1856 in Mallorca, Bodega Macià Batle is one of the old wineries in Mallorca!

While many are embracing Dry January, we’ve made a different commitment: to enjoy exceptional wines only!

💥Allow us to introduce one of our favorites – Alba from Son Antem.

✨Alba is a medium-bodied white wine, subtle and elegant with a fine lift of acidity and a light creamy texture.

🍇 100% Chardonnay

😋 Peachy, ripe citrus and apple, white blossom, minerality and a touch of toasty oak

🍷Vines planted in 2019. Grapes hand harvested. Fermentation in lightly toasted oak barrels with indigenous yeast, with a further 10 months of aging in barrel.

👏🏻 Established in 2019 by the Lidby family, Son Antem is a small, family-owned estate that achieved organic certification in 2023

🌎Did you know that the natural cork closure in your wine bottle is a super sustainable product coming from a renewable source?

🌲Made from the bark of a cork tree, these trees regenerate their outer layer and can be harvested once a decade, which does not harm the tree but actually extends its lifespan.

🇵🇹The largest cork producing country in the world is Portugal, growing cork trees for half of the worlds cork stoppers. Their trees have been protected by law since 1209 and these huge forests are lowering C02 emissions alongside conserving the biodiversity within.

🍾Although there are plenty of other alternative wine closures these days i.e the screw cap, the natural cork stopper is still the most popular closure for a glass bottle of vino, but it doesn’t come without its issues….

🍄TCA or ‘cork taint’ is compound that comes from a fungi and if the cork is infected, it can give aromas of wet cardboard, wet dog or just simply a bit of a mouldy smell! Although totally harmless this does ruin the wine. It’s estimated that it effects around 3-5 % of bottles closed with cork.

♻️So is the risk of cork taint worth it for this planet friendly product, or are you screw cap all the way??

🍇100% Giro Ros. Local Mallorcan grape variety.

🤚 Hand harvested, cold maceration on the skins for 4 days. 30 day fermentation to preserve freshness.

😋 Very pronounced aromas of peaches, nuts and fresh citrus. A beautiful mouthfeel with slight Giro ros characteristic bitterness. A light tannin from the skin contact rounds out the wine beautifully
