Het is tijd om tijdens deze feestdagen terug te kijken op het jaar.. en wat voor jaar!

Ode aan Felix

Gisteren nam Felix afscheid van ons team, na 10 jaar trouwe inzet als gids en ook allerlei andere taken die hij op zich nam.
Gedurende deze tijd heeft hij maar liefst 700 ritten gemaakt – dat is zo’n twee jaar elke dag op pad! – en 65.000 kilometer afgelegd, wat neerkomt op anderhalf keer de wereld rond. Felix leidde zijn en onze gasten langs de mooiste, kleinste en meest onbekende weggetjes van Mallorca, altijd met oog voor de fietsers, zowel op sportief als persoonlijk vlak. In zijn vrije tijd was hij steevast op zoek naar nieuwe verborgen parels, waarmee hij ons keer op keer wist te verrassen.

Zijn vrouw Carien was al die jaren een onmisbare steunpilaar, zowel voor hem als voor ons team. Als onze “teammoeder” is haar bijdrage van onschatbare waarde geweest. We willen jullie beiden enorm bedanken voor jullie tomeloze energie, betrokkenheid en grote bijdrage aan ons team, en we wensen jullie samen een prachtige toekomst toe!

Gelukkig hoeven we niet volledig afscheid te nemen, want we zullen Felix en Carien nog regelmatig verwelkomen als eregasten op Mallorca. De eerste reizen voor 2025 staan al in de agenda 😊. En Felix en Carien blijven natuurlijk, ook na hun tijd binnen het team, prominente leden van de extended-Rompelberg-family. Heb je zelf ook mooie herinneringen aan ritten met Felix?
