A bridge above the mediterranean sea with fantastic views 👀 was recently inaugurated in Torreneuva Playa. They placed a glass tile in the middle of the bridge in order to feel like flying above the sea….majestic. Nothing for people with vertigo though! 😳 This friendly beach town is only 25 minutes away from Pinos del Valle. Nice restaurants 🦐 and a perfect escape for one of your beach days 🌞🍹🏖️while staying with us.

La Herradura Castle – “1562 La Furia del Mar” Interpretation Center

Today the Bahía de la Herradura is a quiet place but in the 18th century the area was the scene of raids and landings by pirates and corsairs, so in 1764 Carlos III decreed the construction of a defensive castle-fort that communicated with the towers. lookout for Cerro Gordo and Punta de la Mona. Today the museum commemorates the shipwreck of the Armada in 1562, a tragic milestone in the history of Spanish navigation that occurred in the inlet of this area of ​​the Andalusian coast. This historical fact serves as the argument and theme for the new museum, called '1562, the Fury of the Sea', and which has been inaugurated on March 19, 2021

Did you know that one of the most talented pastry chefs is hiding...no not in Paris but in beautiful Salobreña, a coastal village on the rocks at about only 30 minutes away from Casas Mundo Sol y Luna? Thank you Javier for this wonderful & deliscious tarte aux pommes. We have the best food recommendationa for our guests...not because we have to, we just loooooove good food! 🥧🧁🍰🍧🎂🍨

Beautiful day trip to Cadiz, this city stands on a peninsula jutting out into a bay, and is almost entirely surrounded by water. Named Gadir by the Phoencians, who founded their trading post in 1100 BC, it was later controlled by the Carthaginians, until it became a thriving Roman port. It sank into oblivion under the Visigoths and Moors, but attained great splendour in the early 16th century. In the early 19th century Cadiz became the bastion of Spain's anti-monarchist, liberal movement, as a result of which the country's first Constitution was declared here in 1812. @ Cádiz

What is that you do in the Sierra Nevada after ski season is over...obviously enjoy the melting snow in form of beautiful little rills and cascades all over the mountain. Mind you that May is one of the best month to plan your sunny but not yet too hot hiking escape here in the lovely province of granada. Everything is still green and you will be able to enjoy the sun without melting away! Let us know if you want to try this hiking trail! A very easy one with a super nice spot for a pic-nic break. @ Sierra Nevada

Sunday hike between the Sierra Nevada and the sea. Heads above clouds and eyes on & above the horizont. Somewhere between Pinos del Valle and Velez de Benaudalla. The rain left the mountains white and the hills green...deep breath and go!
