Q - How far is the nearest beach?
A - 5 minutes walk!
Our closest local beach is Playa de Las Coloradas, which is a quiet, natural sand and shingle cove, the perfect spot to relax with a book and listen to the waves lapping on the shore. Just follow the footpath through the shopping centre keeping the Gran Tagora Hotel to your left and you can’t miss it! If you prefer a designated tourist beach, with bars, sun loungers and parasols then head to Playa Dorada, a 10 minute taxi ride. If natural is your thing, then head for the famous pristine sandy coves and crystal waters of the Papagayo National Park. Just follow the signs for the coastal footpath to the side of the Sandos Papagayo Hotel and you will reach the first cove within 10 minutes or so. Alternatively if you have a car, you can reach it via a dirt track road but we advise you to check your car rental agreement first, as some hire companies will not insure you to drive ‘off road’ 🏝️☀️😎

Q- Is it worth paying extra for pool heating during the summer months?
A- Definitely not! Our pool reaches temperatures in excess of 30 degrees naturally. A well fitted, good quality thermal cover is all you require.
Our honest advice..
Save your hard earned money folks, it really isn’t necessary!

And just like that, the week has gone. Time to say goodbye to our wonderful home, we’re already counting the days until our next visit!
