If you are looking for a villa holiday that offers flexible sleeping for a family of 6, masses of un-overlooked outside space with both sun and shade, private pool, BBQ and outdoor dining area with drinks bar, this villa could just be for you! ol and large sun terrace with 4 sun loungers - poolside towels are included which saves your luggage allowance for more important things! The gazebo offers covered seating for 6 and the poolside shower and toilet offer outdoor convenience. Steps lead to the upper terrace with further tables and chairs and the front door to the villa. This area has sun all day, but shade is provided by the tall palm trees and wind-out window awnings. To the side there is a pretty garden, mainly planted with succulents and laid to gravel with a stepping stone pathway to the rear patio where the covered corner gazebo offers a quiet, shady sanctuary. A further gate leads through to the undercover dining area, BBQ and bar with a drinks fridge, fully equipped with melamine crockery for outdoor dining. There is a third (and very useful) shower cubicle in this area, as well as a gas hob (canisters in the casita) and paella burner for those who fancy getting creative. The evening sun makes its way around to this side but ceiling fans ensure it doesn't get too stuffy. The villa can be accessed from the front via the upper terrace or from the rear BBQ area. The open-plan kitchen and living area have beautiful high, beamed ceilings which create a cool and airy atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of crockery and cutlery to make catering for the family a breeze. There is also an 'Osmosis' system which supplies drinking water, so there's no need to buy bottled water. The dining table can be extended to easily accommodate 6 with room to spare. Air-con can be used for both cooling and heating and there is a log burner for the winter months. A small lobby to the side is accessed via double doors and leads to the bathroom and bedrooms. The small bathroom has a toilet, sink and thermostatic shower and there is plenty of storage for toiletries. The twin bedroom to the left has air con and a window to the rear which overlooks the outdoor dining area. A large built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet ensure there is room for all your belongings. The bedroom to the right can be set up as a twin or single and has a small wardrobe and bedside chest. This room leads via a further door to the double bedroom so is perfect for young families. The double bedroom has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 bedside cabinets. It has air-con and overlooks the side garden. All floors are tiled which help keep the villa cool even in the height of summer. All windows have rejas and mosquito netting which allows fresh air in but keeps the bugs at bay. All windows (apart from the double bedroom) have persiana blinds which are great at keeping out the light and heat, brilliant when you have small children who wake up at the first crack of dawn! The outside areas have been wired for sound as well as light. Speakers around the pool and BBQ areas allow you to listen to your favourite music via Sonos. Full instructions are included in the villa book if required :-) Free wifi is available in all areas, inside and out. A washing machine, rotary line and airer complete the domestic set-up! Despite being conveniently situated on the coast road between Moraira and Calpe, the villa is set back and offers a good level of privacy, many outdoor areas being completely un-overlooked. Less than a 5 minute walk away is Baladrar beach, a pretty pebbly cove with views across the bay to Calpe. Baladrar Beach Bar is very popular and offers lunch and drinks under shady trees; summer evenings can be spent here listening to local musicians, a lovely way to spend a lazy afternoon or evening. A 10 minute walk gets you to a large supermarket, pharmacy, bank, bars and restaurants. Outside the supermarket is a bus-stop where you can catch the road train down into Moraira if you don't fancy the walk (40 minutes) or the drive (5 minutes). The coast road into Moraira is strewn with a multitude of bars and restaurants and there are several pretty bays and coves along the way. The cosmopolitan streets of Moraira town are home to wonderful shops (hold onto your pockets!) and the marina and castle tower make interesting backdrops for your holiday photos. There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants to cater for all tastes and you are spoilt for choice when looking for your after dinner G&T. The main municipal car park is free every day except Fridays when it hosts Moraira market, well worth a look. Moraira's sandy beach is very popular and offers everything from paddling to surfing, conditions depending. The beautiful valleys of Jalon and Orba are easily accessible by car, once again, well worth a visit. There are many walking and cycling routes for the energetic and village markets and cafes aplenty for those looking for something more sedate. Lively Denia has everything you would expect from a Spanish town and ferries to the Balearic islands depart from Denia's port. Bustling Calpe is a 15 minute drive and if it's busy nightlife you are looking for, Benidorm can be reached in 30 minutes. Alicante airport is just over an hour away, Valencia airport takes slightly longer at around an hour and a quarter. Both airports offer a good selection of flights at all times of the day, though Wednesday and Thursday seem to offer the best value for money. Car hire is plentiful and some fantastic deals can be found - try looking at Money Saving Expert online. If you don't fancy driving there are many other airport transfer options, including BeneConnect and Alsa bus routes.
