The storm is through and we are back on the mountain!
Conditions were perfect so our tour started with a banger of a sunset session while sipping some cava. There is something special about being above the clouds and watching the sun hide behind them...
After the sun went down, we moved into the Teide National Park and set up the telescopes to marvel at Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars, plus nebulae, star clusters and much more. Throughout the session, our guides showed stars and constellations using laser pointers and told facts and stories about the night sky.

There is a storm supposed to approach Tenerife in a few days, and today we could feel the wind preceding it but it did not affect the tour in the slightest. As usual, the tour started at our favorite spot to watch the sunset sipping a glass of cava.

Chilly but beautiful evening!

Just another great night at the office...the sky was crystal clear so we met at the sunset spot and watched the puesta del sol with a glass of cava to celebrate it. When the sun had passed below the horizon, we moved higher into the Teide National Park, we set up our telescopes and looked at Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars, plus nebulae, star clusters and much more. The sky is spectacular now because the moon is not around anymore, and as much as we love looking at it, when it is around full moon its brightness washes out the rest of the sky.

So if you want the best conditions possible, book your tour anytime, if possible when the moon is not visible in our night sky!
