Following on from my photo of yesterday a little about the Ibex.
The ibex, a wild mountain goat native to the rocky terrains of Europe, Asia, and Africa, finds a perfect home in the rugged hills of the Tabernas Desert. Characterized by their impressive, curved horns and nimble climbing abilities, these creatures are a symbol of resilience and adaptability. In the Tabernas Desert, you can witness the Spanish ibex (Capra pyrenaica), a species that has adapted remarkably to the harsh desert conditions.

Lugar maravilloso, muy tranquilo, parcela privada e intima, con todo lo necesario para nuestra estancia.Janet muy amable y dispuesta en lo que se requiriera, conexión total con otro tipo de naturaleza(el desierto). A 6 minutos el pueblo de tabernas y a 35 minutos la ciudad de Almería. Sin duda repetiremos esta experiencia.

Hoy 23 de octubre de 2023 hemos llegado a la cifra de 5.000 personas, formando parte de este rincón en la red. Comenzamos el 21 de enero de 2016 y mi intención era, y sigue siendo, la puesta en valor de este espacio natural tan infravalorado a pesar de ser maravilloso. Ha habido de todo un poco en este tiempo, pero me quedo solo con lo positivo. Doy las gracias a tod@s y cada uno de vosotros por dedicar vuestro tiempo a este espacio y como no, por compartir su contenido. There were some fast learners at Desert Escapes yesterday. Di, Mia and Alfonso joined us in learning the basics of soap making. They all made a lemon cupcake soap with swirl of calendula topping. The soap is completely natural, vegan, palm oil free. Lemon essential oil was added for the perfume and the colour came from the lemon zest and the addition of dried calendula petals.

Everyone took home the lemon cupcake soap and bars of lemon soap they had made. Soaps need time to cure so they will be ready to use in 4 to 6 weeks. We all had a great time and chatted over coffee and cake afterwards.
