Did you know that the historic stairs of the Camino de la Playa El Bajondillo were inaugurated in 1804? Today, after a restoration in 1991, this picturesque path invites you to a unique route that starts in Calle Santos Arcangeles, in the centre of Torremolinos, and takes you straight to the beautiful beach of El Bajondillo.

On your way down, you will find a succession of stairs with three new flights of stair lifts that lead to the charming Mirador de Punta de Tarifa, from where the views of the coast are simply spectacular. And the last stretch before reaching the beach you can choose to go down by lift or continue by stairs.

🚶‍♂️ Along the way, you can rest on the benches along the way and enjoy the scenery. At the end of the route, the beach of El Bajondillo and a lively promenade await you.

🌺‘Ave del paraíso’ is the title of the 180m2 mural that can be visited from today in the new Vicente Aleixandre square in Torremolinos, the work of the illustrator Bosska.

🥀Various species of native flora surround the figure of a woman, creating a composition that unites the beauty of nature with a commitment to equality.

The artist has carried out this ad hoc piece over 8 days using more than 200 cans of spray paint.

♻️ The project, developed in collaboration with the Torremolinos City Council, is part of the urban regeneration of the Calvario neighbourhood.

✨ Torremolinos is dressing up for the Fair of the Virgin of Carmen! 🌟

From July 13 to 16, live with us the magic and tradition of our fair in honor of the Virgin of Carmen 🎉 This year, as a novelty, the Day of the Children and Girls, with the reduced price of the attractions, will take place on Friday, July 12, day before the inauguration, from 21:00h at Plaza del Remo.

🔔 Inauguration: Saturday, July 13 at 22:00 in Plaza del Remo with the lighting of the artistic lighting.

🎡 Fun nights: Every night from 22:00 hours enjoy performances at the Traditional Municipal Caseta (Oasis Plaza del Remo) with the Rompeolas Orchestra and the Caseta de la Juventud (Beach in front of La Zoca Restaurant) with Captain Vinilo, Money Makers, Ziryab, The Coovers, Queen of Magic, Stereo 80, POP FM, The Street is Yours, Free Soul Band, Mister Proper, and Doctor NO.

🌹 Emotional moments: On July 15, at 20:30h, join the traditional floral offering from the Plaza del Colegio Albaida to the Parish Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

🚶 ♀️ Procession of the Virgin of Carmen: On July 16 at 19:00 hours, accompany the Virgin of Carmen on her journey through the streets of La Carihuela to the Paseo Marítimo, where she will embark at 21:45h to start her walk along the beaches of Torremolinos accompanied by the sailors and disembark on the same beach at 22:15h where a maritime mass will be held and the procession will continue on the Maritime Promenade until you arrive at your parish early morning.
