Doing some good! Today, we opened the piggy bank for the Vulture Conservation Foundation. Our guests donated a total of €243,87 (and 5 French francs) to help protect these magnificent animals. Thank you!!!
Also, we received confirmation from Booking.com that we've reached Level 3 of their Sustainable Travel Program. Woohoo!!!

One of the things we want to contribute to, is more 'green' in our environment. We started last year to plant trees on the outcrop, using "Waterboxxes ", a Dutch invention by Groasis that you use to plant trees in dry/difficult surroundings. The Waterboxx provides continuous water and protects the young tree from heat, cold and wind. After planting, no extra water or care is necessary. After a year, 3 out of 4 trees have survived heat (37°), cold (-8°), drought, storms, and 1 meter of snow 💪! Today we removed the Waterboxxes and planted some new trees with them 😊.

For some, the 10 km drive up to Santa Engràcia is an obstacle, but we always enjoy the beautiful mountain road, where there is always something to see. This time of year, the route is painted yellow and blue with flowering broom and rosemary 🟡🔵!
