One of the most amazing experiences on Tenerife is exploring caves. There are thousands of them across the whole island, you can spot them on the cliffs, in the desert, in barrancos and up in the mountains. Carved by powers of nature and finished by human - originally by Guanches or by hippies, in modern times.

The cave shown on the photo is the first of the collection named "5 suns". I have choosen 5 caves on the island that we can enjoy.

Let's spend time together, seeing magical sunset and sleep over with the sounds of ocean. Ask for more details in comments or prv msg! See you in a cave :)

Yesyerday I decided to continue exploring magnificent Teide National Park, from the West side. The starting point is Portillio and from there I climbed a mountain of great uniqueness: Montana Blanca.

The attitude of 2748 m provides you with chilling wind along the whole 22km loop. The trail takes about 6 hours, the ascent is more than 700m.
Along with Teide and Pico Viejo, Montana Blanca is the third highest peak in Tenerife. Its 30 meters higher than Guajara, on the other side of the caldera. Its a side volcano of Teide. It’s white color originates in pumice stone.

Even though the weather is still not stable, we continue to have great time in the mountains of Tenerife. This time: Montana Negra (1398 m).

The Masca George trail was on my Tenerife bucket list for a long time now. It’s good to start early morning, book the first available descent.

We started very late and we had a lot of sun on the way back. Be sure to save energy for the last 100m ascent, its steep. Its good to have a good tempo on it as otherwise it may seem it takes ages to climb.

The George is amazingly beautiful and overwhemingly high. Hiking on the bottom of the Barranco, going up and down according the needs to pass the way is pretty interesting. On the minus - we are alyways down with limited view. Huge cliffs above close the sky. The trail is very strongly regulated: starting from online booking, throughfully checking, obligatory helmets, hiking shoes claims and strictly regulated path, Blue parking for 2 hours only...its altogether special experience.

Be prepared for 2:30h march down and the same up. You can probably shorten it to 1:45h when you are fast.
