Review March 2016: "We are a family of four, two adults and two children of around ten years. We came to Can Vaqueret for the first time, enjoying the place for a week in late March 2016. Temperatures were around 16-21 degrees Celsius, roughly eight drops of rain,- once.
The house is located in a beautiful valley half way between Cala d'Or and Felanitx. You will most probably need a car. A very narrow private path leads from the main road to the grounds and the finca. We enjoyed the tranquillity, only two buildings exist in the vicinity. We never felt disturbed in any way. The building itself is very spacious and has all the amenities one could wish for. Exceptionally clean and cleverly furnished. The view from the masters bedroom towards the sea at Cala d'Or is exceptionally beautiful. Two outside terraces with sun (and shade respectively) throughout the whole day cater for both sun-lovers and redheads (like dad).
The area around the house is of typical Mallorcan character. Expect stones and reddish brown soil. Still a lot of trees and many pots with plants. The children loved walking up the path towards the next patch with Eve and Elvis (residential donkeys).
We very much enjoyed playing table tennis and ring toss, rackets, balls, rings etc. all readily available. And there's of course the outside barbecue which was in daily use.
It was too chilly for the well-sized outdoor pool which is (- due to local laws - not set in stone but a (huge) fast set pool) located a few steps away from the house. The kids loved it nevertheless. We reckon this will be a regular meeting point during hotter periods for sure.
The sun rising in the morning just outside your window - that was simply gorgeous. There are (silent) air conditioning devices in all three bedrooms, with good heating and cooling capabilities. Radiators are installed in all rooms of the house, powerful enough to create a cosy atmosphere (needed only in winter and spring times we presume).
We rarely left the grounds, Can Vaqueret with all its beauty really invites you to stay. We will most certainly come again in the near future. (And so do you if you got to know it.) Thank you very much, Marise."
