Just the bravest, most amazing dog you will ever meet. I got to sit with him today while he had his chemo, he was a little unsettled to start with but mainly just sat and let the drugs do their magic. To see him you would never believe anything was wrong, he just carries on everyday as if everything is fine, the vets are pleased with how he is doing, a new drug today to hopefully kick this cancer out quicker. He is definitely doing his bit to help.

BLEU UPDATE 😍 So last week because of low defences the vets decided not to give Bleu his second chemo instead he had some antibiotics and we waited until this week, bloods done first today and everything was back to normal so second dose given this morning. He was told to have a quiet day but he's done anything but 🤦‍♀️ to say he's more alert and active at the minute would be an understatement. Vets are super pleased with him and have decided to drop a dose for now on every third week as he's doing so well. Obviously doing his bit to try and fight this cancer off 🥰 still keeping his sister in check and constantly looking longingly at the treat tin!

First chemo done!! It wasn't supposed to start until next week but a last minute cancellation meant we could start a week early and so far he's smashed it 🥰 a little sleepy this afternoon, but we were up really early to get to Las Palmas, lots of things in place for the next 48 hours to.protect us all but we're prepared, little sister Cassie is doing her bit and keeping a close eye on him. Only 13 more weeks to go xx

And so now not the outcome we hoped for, the mass taken away was cancer and an aggressive type, they felt they took as much away as cleanly as possible so the next round is chemotherapy, he's had so many tests and all the vets feel he is strong enough to deal with the next step so off we all go. It's the hardest thing we've ever had to decide on but we have to give it a go as he's too fit, lively and active to give up now. He's back to enjoying his woodland walks, loves his food and a good nap 😴 We will keep you all posted 🥰

So a little stroll up in the woods today and Bleu was so much better, back to sniffing and going on Scooby routes following his nose and completely ignoring us! Back to the vets tomorrow to have his staples out and hopefully get his biopsy results to see where we go from here. Was just so good to see him so active this morning and he's slept it off this afternoon 😴

Back today for first check up, we were a little apprehensive as he had been a little quiet today but they checked him all over including another ultrasound and everything came back good 👍 a few more painkillers to make sure and we're back home for a week of rest and pampering 💙

So weve been a bit quiet as we've had a traumatic few days with the boss of Casa Azul being very poorly, rushed to the vets late Saturday night, having emergency surgery, and needing biopsies, blood transfusions and goodness knows what else 😥 but tonight he's finally home minus his spleen, the huge mass attached to it and the internal bleeding stopped. We are massively relieved to say the least, he's eating well, has a bag full of meds to take and a little sister who is determined to check on him every 30 seconds 🥰 we would like to say a massive thank you to all neighbours and friends that helped Saturday night to get him to the best place, especially Echedey 😊 A huge thank you to all the staff at Los Tarahales vets who were amazing, the personal touch was so comforting and they all fell in love with him. It's still a long road waiting for results, cleaning and redressing wounds and building his strength back up but we are all determined that the family number 1, our Bleu will have the best rehab possible, now I'm off to cook more chicken and rice, oh and sell a kidney on ebay 😀🙈 we will keep you all posted 💙💙

So we still get about 95% of our guests through Booking.com but the Airbnb ones keep creeping in. This summer we have had 3 lovely sets of guests through them, from a family of 4, to a young couple and this weekend 2 best friends 🧡 and their feedback has been amazing. I enjoy the Airbnb reservations as I get to review them as well which is great fun. Let's hope these lovely reviews lead to more bookings with them. Oh you will notice the furry staff are taking their roles very seriously as well!! 🥰🐕🐕🍾😍

While waiting for a delivery yesterday I had a stroll around the old town in Santa Brigida. What a lovely traditional place, lots of lovely streets to wander round and plenty of lovely cafes to sit and watch the world go by moutainlife
