We love EATing at restaurants with innovated cuisine from young rising Galician Chefs, but it is always a great pleasure to the palate going back to the roots of Galician coastal cuisine with a traditional seafood tasting menu! After our walk around the Cabo Home (Man’s Cape) Lighthouses and el Facho (ancient lighthouse) of Donon we treated our clients to the best of the best in “Marisco Galego” of the area! Starting off with Almejas a la Marinera (Clams Fisherman’s style) & Navajas (Razor Clams), then on to ugly but tasty Percedes (Barnacles), next on to Choquitos (Baby Cuttlefish), continuing on with San Martiño Guisado (Stewed San Pedro or Martiño Fish), next fish dish was Rodaballo Salvaje al horno (Baked wild turbot fish) ending with an assortment of home-made desserts of the house. Well not really ending... as we still had our Queimada Galego to sip down… and I would advise to sip and it has a kick!
A true traditional Galician coastal meal that shows visitors the quality of gastronomy Galicia has to offer.
