Maybe it is childish, but I love the fact that Jules Verne dedicated a chapter of his 20.000 Leagues under the Sea to Vigo Bay (Part 2, Chapter 8):

The Atlantic! a vast sheet of water, whose superficial area covers twenty-five millions of square miles, the length of which is nine thousand miles, with a mean breadth of two thousand seven hundred- an ocean whose parallel winding shores embrace an immense circumference, watered by the largest rive…

We want to start this 2015 season with a reference to (surprise!!) Galicia’s archeological heritage: the article includes some inaccuracies (in particular, the information related to the socio-political situation of Galicia/Spain) but we believe you may find the information about the archeological sites pretty interesting, especially when the author points out that “the 5,000 or more stone defended hilltops are a defining feature of the Galician landscape” or summarizes the “Galician Archaeological Heritage Network or GAHN [as] based on four themes: megalithic sites, rock art, hillforts and the Roman World”. Enjoy!!

We know you know, but this is one of our favourite landscapes and never get tired of taking pictures of it. When I first saw it for the first time (twenty years ago approx.) I promised to myself I would never get used to enjoying this wonderful view and take it for granted. Twenty years later, I believe I am doing a pretty good job ;)

Guitarist Randy Bachman Demystifies the Opening Chord of ‘A Hard Day’s Night.’ Mystery solved! http://goo.gl/cPr0H

You could call it the magical mystery chord. The opening clang of the Beatles' 1964 hit, 'A Hard Day's Night,' is one of the most famous and distinctive sounds in rock and roll history, and yet for a long time no one could quite figure out what it was.
