Mu Ko Ang Thong es uno de los parques nacionales marinos de Tailandia. La cercanía entre las islas, de diferentes tamaños y formas, ofrece una de las imágenes más impresionantes del Golfo de Tailandia. Todas las islas, excepto una, están deshabitadas y cubiertas de vegetación tropical. Aquí se rodaron algunas de las escenas de la conocida película La playa. En el parque se pueden realizar actividades como esnórquel, kayak, buceo o senderismo, entre otras opciones de turismo activo.

Ban Nam Chiao es una comunidad pesquera en la provincia de Trat que está desarrollando prácticas de ecoturismo desde hace bastantes años. Es bien conocida por la artesanía de los sombreros llamados Ngob Nam Chiaw. Estos sombreros, inicialmente hechos con bambú por la influencia de los chinos que los trajeron, se hacen en la actualidad con hojas de palmera siguiendo métodos más sostenibles. Las técnicas de elaboración a mano se transmiten de generación en generación.
