Join us as we dive into one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of our land: the majestic Nervión Waterfall 🌊💚. Featured in a video by local TV (EITB), we’ll take you on an adventure just a short walk away from our farmhouse Ulle Gorri!

We often team up with Sergio, an expert ornithologist, to explore the area and discover the incredible birdlife soaring through the canyon during our birdwatching experiences. 🦅🌲

Did you know that Salto del Nervión is Spain's tallest waterfall? 😱 With an impressive 222-meter free fall, the views are simply jaw-dropping! Plus, the surrounding trails offer spectacular hiking experiences for nature lovers. 🗺️✨

Although the waterfall does not carry water all year round, the scenery is just as mesmerizing. If you’re lucky enough to witness it flowing, consider yourself truly blessed! 🍀🌈

A little piece of tradition in the heart of Amaiur

If you want to live a Basque experience, the Mill of Amaiur is the place where flavours and traditions meet. Here, surrounded by dreamy landscapes and the history of a people, we learn how to make the best talo in the Land of the Basques.

Talo, a type of Tortillas corn, that has nourished generations, is brought to life with local ingredients. Each mouthful is a tribute to our land, our roots and our love of authenticity.

🍇 Discovering the Flavours of the Earth in Labastida ✨.

Today we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful wine tasting at Bodega Tierra, where we also had an interesting tour of the facilities. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the best company, our travellers, together with Iñaki and our collaborator and friend, José Manuel Calleja, lived an unforgettable experience.

Every sip took us on a journey through the vineyards, where the love and dedication of the land is reflected in every bottle. Thank you all for being part of this special moment!

Albertia Forest, Legutio, Gorbeialdea 🌳✨
In this forest, the pollarded beech trees reflect an ancestral technique known as pollarding, practised in the Basque Country. 🌲 Our ancestors did not fell the trees, but modified them to use their wood in a sustainable way, especially for charcoal kilns and domestic use. A true naturalist heritage. 🌿

💡 The hollows in the trees also serve as a refuge for local fauna: birds such as the tawny owl and the wren (txepetxa), and mammals such as the marten and the genet. 🦉

We go into this forest with our travellers, accompanied by Iñaki, who reveals the secrets of this place full of history and biodiversity.

Discover the Cathedral of Santa María in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Located at the top of the hill, it bears witness to centuries of history and is an essential destination for those who want to discover the origins of the capital of Alava.

With a pioneering restoration project "open for work", the cathedral has shone again and you can now visit it from its foundations to the very top, enjoying unique views of the city and the plains of Alava. Excavations have revealed secrets of the past, such as ancient burial sites and vestiges of the settlement of Gasteiz, dating back to the 8th century.

Inspiration for great writers such as Ken Follet, who visited the cathedral in the midst of restoration to write the second part of *The Pillars of the Earth*

Today we had the pleasure of sharing a very special day with our travellers at the amazing restaurant El Almazen, located in the magical Salinas de Añana. 🌱✨

🤝 Chef Beatriz Pascual is in charge of bringing this concept to life, combining creativity, tradition and sustainability, working closely with local producers. Each dish was a work of art reflecting the soul and history of this very special corner of the Basque Country. 🇪🇸
