Catfish tours has been running for 12 years based in mequinenza on the confluence of the rivers Ebr The Ebro finishes in the Mediterranean at Tarragona.

les long and is 1.980m above sea level at its source in Pico Tres Mares Cantabria. Mequinenza is the ideal base for a Carp or Catfish holiday, providing access to the River Ebro, Segre and the River Cinca - this enables us to fish for the massive Catfish that occupy the awesome river system. If you want a break from the Carp and Catfish action, there are great places to visit such as the castle, the mining museum and the great wildlife - birds of prey are regularly seen flying over the Ebro.

With the year cumin too a end for the catfish the carp fishing has taken off with the boss man landing in two short day’s sessions fishing from the bank edd landed a astonishing 23 carp including 3x40s 14x30s and 6 x upper 20s all caught fishing solid bags over bait we are running out carp trips too end of March if your looking for something different then look no further then catfish tours Edd Brett we have availability inbox us for details

Just back from my trip to Spain fishing with my friend and guide Edd Brett of Catfish tours. Arrived to find the river in flood with rafts of w**d and trees coming down and very muddy so not looking good .We decided to set up in the area we wanted to fish and wait for the conditions to improve .First couple of days were hard work but put bait in and fished in close and caught couple to158lb.The rest of the week it gradually got better conditions and the cats and carp fishing got better. I finished with 38 cats to 228lb which I never thought possible on day 1.
23 cats over 100 lb
9 between 158 and192lb
1 x228lb.The carp fishing was hard because the river conditions but the wife Chris still caught 13carp all over 25lb up to mid 44lb including a rare mirror of 38lb

Well what a week has Dave Parrott has had fishing with Catfish Tours guide Edd Brett.
Dave landed a total of 57 cats with 39 of them going over the 100lb mark with his best cat tipping the scales at 169lb!
While waiting for the cats Dave also managed a few carp (21) including 2×40s 16×30s and 3x20s
