Comments: Hi Muzeyen,
I just wanted to write you a review for your
fantastic guide service. I hope this finds you
well and that you are busy with work. Many
thanks for an unforgettable trip across the
Bale Mountains, exceptional! Please feel
free to edit this review as required to post
on your website.
We were incredible lucky to have Muzeyan
as our guide, a calm, intelligent and very
patient man with great hospitality,
understanding and knowledge. Muzeyen was
our guide for four exceptional days in the
Bale Mountains. He was suggested to us by
our previous guide on the Dodola
escarpment.
We met him in Dinsho at the local pensione,
on the evening of our arrival via bus from
Dodola . He treated us to the best local
restaurants, with delicious fasting food,
Indira and Ethiopian beer.
On our first day he took us on a walking tour
of Dinsho and the water pollution programme
he implemented. Followed by an
unforgettable two-hour hike around the
nearby the grasslands inhabited by Mountain
Nyala, Warthogs and Reedbucks. A very
intimate experience, walking only meters
away from the wildlife. Followed by a trip to
the local market where Muzeyan showed us
round and found all the crafts and items we
were interested in.
On our second day he drove us to the top of
the Senetti plateau where we were treated to
breath taking views and the beautiful
Ethiopia Wolves. Dropping down the
escarpment for a view of the Harenna Forest
and coffee at Rira.
On our third and final day Muzeyen
organised I horse ride trip from the Dinsho
lodge to the surrounding farms and
landscape. A fantastic end to a superb trip
in the Bale Mountains. To top it all off
Muzeyen organised our bus trip back to
Addis Ababa ensuring we arrived back at the
door to our hotel.
Transport and services in Ethiopia are no
way near perfect, and good English is no
guarantee. This is where Muzeyen is the
perfect guide. His English is brilliant, his
attitude is resourceful and his demeanour is
laid back. He is accommodating, patient and easy to talk
to, all this makes for a very relaxing and
stress free experience. When things did not
go as planned Muzeyan would calm nerves,
take control and solve any problem with a
smile. I could not recommend this man more
for any traveller new or experienced touring
Ethiopia.

Comment = We had a fascinating
two days with Muzeyan who was an
excellent guide and extremely good
company. He was very
knowledgeable and enthusiastic and
helped us to see an amazing variety
of birds and mammals. The Sanetti
plateau is unique and we would
love to return one day and spend
more time walking and camping
there. We highly recommend the
experience
