A document of agreement has been signed to modernize the culture and tourism sector with digital technology.

Innovation and Technology Minister Belete Mola (PhD) and Amhara National Region Culture and Tourism Bureau Head Mr. Tahir Mohammed signed an agreement to digitally modernize the tourism sector.
At the signing ceremony, the minister of innovation and technology Belete Mola (PHD) has realized that he has played a crucial role in modernizing the cultural and tourism sector by developing the market and increasing the economy that is supposed to contribute to our country.
The minister who said it is known that the Amhara region owns a lot of tourism resources said that we will work together to develop tourism and create the capacity to enable Ethiopia to get the economy it deserves from the sector.
Mr. Tahir Mohammed, the head of the Amhara National Region Culture and Tourism Bureau, said that the tourism sector has not contributed to the economy of our country because it has not done what it needs to be done. Especially, we should work with the Ministry of Innovation and Technology to promote cultural and tourism destinations by using digital technology and to make them accessible to all.
The minister said that Ethiopia has an untouched tourism resource, connecting the tourism sector with technology and developing technology leading services to provide customer satisfaction, modernizing the sector's asset chain and quality of service, the agreement signed with the Amhara National Region Culture and Tourism Bureau will be continued with other regions.
