𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤: 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐔𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐎 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞!
The United Nations Education, Science, and Culture Organization (UNESCO) has just inscribed the Bale Mountains National Park into its World Heritage list. We are extremely overjoyed by this news and would like to congratulate all Ethiopians for our second UNESCO natural heritage!
The process of getting our heritage inscribed into this exclusive list is laborious and time-consuming. Governmental and non-governmental partners worked together and worked hard to get us to where we are today. As such, our unbridled gratitude goes out to the Oromia President Office, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority, the Oromia President's Office, Oromia Culture and Tourism Bureau, Oromia Environmental Protection Authority, Bale Zone Administration, Frankfurt Zoological Society, EWCP and many other offices for their work in preparing and submitting the landmark inscription document.
