Yesterday, President Joe Biden awarded the National Medal of Science to the Ethiopian-born distinguished professor of plant breeding & genetics, Dr. Gebisa Ejeta, for his outstanding contributions to the science of plant genetics.
By developing sorghum strains that withstand droughts and parasites, Dr. Gebisa has improved food security for millions.
His advocacy for science, policy, and institutions as key to economic development has lifted the fortunes of farmers and strengthened the souls of nations.

የጌዴኦ ባህላዊ መልክዓ ምድር በተባበሩት መንግሥታት የትምህርት፣ የሳይንስና የባህል ድርጅት /ዩኔስኮ/ ተመዘገበ

መስከረም 6 ቀን 2016 ዓም

በሳውዲ አረቢያ ዋና ከተማ ሪያድ በመካሄድ ላይ ያለው 45ኛው የዩኔስኮ የአለም ቅርስ ኮሚቴ በኢትዮጵያ የቀረበውን የጌድኦ ባህላዊ መልክአ-ምድር ፋይል በኮንቬሽኑ መሰረት መርምሮ በዓለም ቅርስነት እንዲመዘገብ በሙሉ ድምጽ አፀደቀ።

ይህም በኢትዮጵያ የተመዘገቡትን የባህልና ተፈጥሮ ቅርሶች ወደ 10 ሲያሳድግ ለአፍሪካ ደግሞ 100ኛ ሆኖ ተመዝግቧል።

የጌድኦ ባህላዊ መልክአ-ምድር ፋይል ምዝገባ ከኮንሶ ከተመዘገበ ከ12 አመት ( እ.ኤ.አ ከ2011 ዓ.ም) በሗላ በአለም ቅርስነት የተመዘበ ነው።

በስብሰባው የአገራችን የልዑካን ቡድን መሪ የኢፌዲሪ የቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር ሚኒስትር ክብርት አምባሳደር ናሲሴ ጫሊ ንግግር ለአለም አቀፍ ማህበረሰብ አስደምጠዋል።

One of the oldest in , has been a state forest since 15 century AD. Emperor Zere Yacob is credited for the protection of this fascinating during his time. The total area of the park is around 2500 hectares which keeps important natural big trees like juniper and Eric arboreal and endemic antelopes like Minilik Bushbuck. As the forest is home to many endemic animals, bird species, and vast forests, the area is one of the ideal spots for bird watching, hiking and mountain climbing in the vicinity of Addis Ababa.

Full day trip, we drive to Ambo road Holeta Genet , After Will we will approach suba forest .
