𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞; a little more than a picturesque ruin that sits atop a hill 74 km away from Gondar.

Guzara, was the first of the kind that would be described as “Gondarine style” by scholars of Ethiopian art and architecture.

The castle was erected by Emperor Sarsa Dengel close to Lake Tana in the mid-1570s. The plan of Guzara Castle is square with four circular bastions at each corner. Egg-shaped roofs top these bastions, a feature that was repeated in the palace complex of Fasil Ghebbi.

7. Ethiopia had the longest ruling dynasty that ended in the 1970s with Emperor Haile Salassie. The dynasty lasted from the time of Solomon till the last Emperor Haile Selassie.

It is situated on the upper course of the river ,about 30 km downstream from the town of Bahir Dar and Lake Tana. The Falls are one of Ethiopia's best known tourist attractions."

ETHIOPIA IN THE BIBLE - NOAH

Noah came through the lineage of Enoch, therefore he was an Ethiopian like Enoch. From Adam to Noah, all the patriarchs lived in Ethiopia (Edom): then the deluge of water came, and Noah was saved in the Ark together with his family (his wife, his three sons and their wives, in total 8 people including Noah) and 77 families of animals.

They were scattered on Mount Ararat, where Noah divided the land among his three sons, Sem Kam and Yafet. The meaning of the name "Noah" in fact, from the ge'ez verb Nohe ኖኀ, is "he has stretched", for at that time mankind stretched its presence all over the earth.

When the deluge was over, God established a new covenant with this renovated humanity, and set the rainbow as its symbol:

"And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth." (Genesis 9, 12-17)

"Qeste Demena" ቀስተ፡ደመና as it is called in ge'ez (literally, the Bow of the Cloud), is therefore the eternal token of the covenant that Jah has stipulated with men, produced by the water v***r (cloud) as remembrance of the deluge of water.

It is the only biblical banner of the Kingdom of God, that only Ethiopia keeps as her own national flag, not determined, as in the case of the other states, by human artificial political reasons, but purely natural and divine. Ethiopian tricolor red gold and green (symbol of Noah's sons), waving in the blue of the sky, recreates the light spectrum of the rainbow and testifies that Ethiopia is the Kingdom of Egziabhier, the only keeper of all His covenants and tokens, and Motherland of Mankind.

ባህር ዳር - የጣና ዳሯ ፈርጥ

በአጼ አምደ ጽዮን ዘመነ መንግስት ነው፡፡ ካህናቱ ለቅዱስ ገብርኤል፣ ለቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ፣ ለቅድስት ማርያም እና ለኪዳነ ምሕረት በጣና ሐይቅ ደሴቶች ላይ አብያተክርስቲያናትን እያነጹ ነበር፡፡ ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ክብራን ላይ ታነጸለትና ክብራን ገብርኤል ተመሰረተ፡፡ ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስም መሀል ዘጌ ላይ ታነጸለትና መሐል ዘጌ ጊዮርጊስ ተመሰረተ፡፡ ለቅድስት ማርያም ደግሞ ደብረ ማርያም ላይ ታነጸላትና ደብረ ማርያም ተመሰረተች፡፡ ማን ቀረ? ኪዳነ ምሕረት !!
እናም ለኪዳነ ምሕረት አንዱ ካህን በሐይቁ ደቡባዊ ክፍል “ባህሩ ዳር” ምቹ ቦታ አለ ሲል ሀሳብ አቀረበ፡፡ ሀሳቡም ተቀባይነት አገኘና ኪዳነ ምሕረት ተተከለች፡፡ የአካባቢውም መጠሪያ ባህር ዳር ኪዳነ ምሕረት ሆነ፡፡ ያ ካህን ‹‹ባህሩ ዳር›› ብሎ የጠራውና ‹‹ባህር ዳር ኪዳነ ምሕረት›› የተመሰረተችበት ቦታ የዛሬው ባህር ዳር ፈለገ ገነት ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ የሚገኝበት ቦታ ነው፡፡ የስያሜ ለውጥ የተደረገው በአጼ ኢያሱ 1ኛ ዘመነ መንግስት ነው፡፡
ባህር ዳር ኪዳነ ምሕረት ከተመሰረተችበት ጊዜ አንስቶ ጣሊያን እስከገባበት እስከ ሚያዝያ 25 ቀን 1928 ዓ/ም ድረስ በቤተክርስቲያኗ ዙሪያ ከነበሩ ውስን ጎጆ ቤቶች በቀር በነገስታቱ በኩል የተሰራ ይህ ነው የሚባል ስራ አልነበረም፡፡ በእርግጥ ቀዳማዊ ኃይለ ሥላሴ ራሳቸው የሕይወት ታሪካቸውን ባሰፈሩበት መጽሐፍ ላይ እንግሊዞች ከተማዋን ተንተርሰው በ1920ዎቹ በጣና እና ጢስ ዓባይ ዙሪያ ከሱዳን ጋር የሚገናኝ ልማት ለመዘርጋት አቅደው ነበር - በግብጻውያንና በጣሊያናውያን ሴራ ከሸፈ እንጂ፡፡
ጣሊያን የእንግሊዝን እቅድ አክሽፋ የእርሷን እቅድ ትፈጽም ጀመር፡፡ ባህር ዳር በቡሬ ደብረ ማርቆስ እና በአዴት ሞጣ በኩል በሁለት አቅጣጫ ከደጀን ጋር በጠጠር መንገድ እንድትገናኝ ተደረገ፡፡ በጣና ሐይቅ ላይም በ6 ጀልባዎች የውኃ ትራንስፖርት አገልግሎት ተጀመረ፡፡ ለሰራዊቱ አስፈላጊ የሆኑ ቁሳቁሶችን ለሚያመላልሱ የጦር አውሮፕላኖችም ኤርፖርት ተሰራ፡፡ ጣሊያኖችን ጨምሮ ሱዳኖችና አረቦች የተለያዩ የንግድ ተቋማትን ከፈቱ፡፡ ባህር ዳር በፍጥነት ከመንደርነት ወደ ከተማነት አደገች፡፡ በ1930 ዓ/ም የህዝቧ ብዛት 25,000 (ሃያ አምስት ሺህ) ነበር፡፡ መሀሉ የከተማዋ ክፍል ለውጪ ሀገር ዜጎች ብቻ እንዲሆን ተወስኖ መኳንንቱና ባላባቱ ወደ ዳር እየተገፉ ወጡ፡፡
በወርሃ የካቲት 1933 ዓ/ም ‹‹ሰርዶ መስክ›› እየተባለ በሚጠራው የከተማዋ ክፍል ከጣሊያን ጦር ጋር ግጥሚያ ተደረገ፡፡ የወገን ጦርም አሸነፈ፡፡ የተቀረው የጣሊያን ጦርም በኮሎኔል ቶረሊ እየተመራ ሚያዝያ 20 ቀን 1933 ዓ/ም ከተማዋን ለቆ ወጣ፡፡ ባህር ዳር ከነጻነት በኋላ በ1935 ዓ/ም የወረዳ ከተማ ሆነች፡፡ በመቀጠልም በ1937 ዓ/ም በማዘጋጃ ቤት እንድትመራ ተደረገ፡፡ በ1954 ዓ/ም ደግሞ የከተማዋ መዋቅር በጀርመናዊው ፕሮፌሰር ማክስ ጉተር እንዲሰራላት ተደረገ፡፡ ከወረዳ ከተማነትም ወደ አውራጃ ከተማነት አደገች፡፡
ይህ ሁሉ ሲሆን ታዲያ ግርማዊነታቸው በአውራጃ ከተማነት ብቻ እንድትቀር አልፈለጉም ነበር፡፡ የሀገሪቱ አማራጭ ከተማ ሊያደርጓት አስበው ለዚሁ ጉዳይ በጀ. ሲሞር ሀሪስ የሚመራ የጥናት ቡድን አቋቁመው ነበር፡፡ የጥናት ቡድኑ ባቀረበው ሪፖርት መሰረትም ዛሬ ድረስ አስፓልት መሆን ያልቻለውን የጢስ ዓባይ የኮረኮንች መንገድ፣ የኃይል ማመንጫውን፣ የባህር ዳር ጨርቃ ጨርቅ ፋብሪካን፣ የዓባይ ድልድይን፣ ኢንጂነር ቅጣው እጅጉ የተማረበትን የባህር ዳር ፖሊ ቴክኒክ ኮሌጅ (የአሁኑ ባህር ዳር ዩንቨርሲቲ) እና ፈለገ ሕይወት ሪፈራል ሆስፒታልን አሰሩ፡፡
በ1958 ዓ/ም ደግሞ የአውራጃው አስተዳዳሪ የነበሩት ፊታውራሪ ኃብተ ማርያም ወልደ ኪዳን ከተማዋን የበለጠ ውበት ያጎናጸፏትን ዘንባባዎቿን አስተከሉላት፡፡ በዚሁ ዓመት ጃንሆይ የቤዛዊት ቤተመንግስትን አሳንጸው ጨርሰው ነበር፡፡ ይሁን እንጂ ወደ ዋና ከተማነት ሳይቀይሯት አብዮቱ ቀድሞ በላቸው፡፡
