The Finland's largest, most diverse and oldest outdoor event Erämessut is coming up! ✨✨✨ Erämessut (The International Sportsmen’s Fair) will be held from June 7-9 at Riihimäki Urheilupuisto. The event will feature products and programs related to hunting, fishing, camping, and nature.

This year, Erämessut has three new features:

👉 Erämessut goes Range – The Benelli Show at the Loppi Shooting Sports Center is an unprecedented, once-in-a-lifetime show starring the Italian extreme shooter, Davide De Carolis. At the Loppi Shooting Sports Center, you can also try out different fi****ms.

👉 At the MaanpuolustusAreena (National Defense Arena), you can listen to keynote speeches and panel discussions on current topics such as NATO cooperation and its opportunities for Finland, innovations in national defense and new technology, and cybersecurity.

👉 Eräkirjamessut (The Outdoor Book Fair) focuses on unique Finnish outdoor literature. At the Eräkirjamessut, there will be ex-libris and nature writing workshops, interesting talks on outdoor literature, creating camping articles, and capturing nature through words and pictures, as well as companies selling outdoor books. 🧡📘💚📕🤎📗

Secret spot in the woods 🤫
Kaukolanharju Observation Tower is Finland's Oldest Wooden Observation Tower. Rising 21 meters high, this landmark offers stunning views atop Tammela Highlands. Originally planned at 18 meters, the tower grew 3 more meters during construction.

Can you count how many stairs take you up? Many mention that they end up counting a different number each time they climb. Reaching the top rewards you with a beautiful 140m elevation above sea level.

The Kaukolanharju Observation Tower was designed for 10 visitors at a time. This was a way to ensure everyone gets to enjoy the panoramic view. The tower first served as a local celebration venue before opening to all in 1923.

This historic site inspired renowned artists like Albert Edelfelt, Magnus Von Wright, and Robert Wilhelm Ekman, capturing its beauty in timeless artworks.

The observation tower is open from 12 p.m. to 18 p.m. every day from June 2 to August 4 (Closed on June 21). Experience a piece of Finnish history and nature at Kaukolanharju Observation Tower! 🌲
