📧 Unique holiday experience. Spacious, very well-equipped houseboat with the sauna as a highlight. It was ideal to have bikes and a kayak with us. So we were completely independent, had a lot of variety and could move everywhere. At first the leisurely speed of the boat takes some getting used to, but soon you feel the deceleration. There are anchorages everywhere within the national park. Our personal highlight: enjoying the endless summer evenings on the veranda! ❤️

🚢 The average speed of movement of a houseboat is 6-7 kilometers per hour, while the fuel reserve even on the smallest of them (144 liters) will be enough for a trip of up to 250 kilometers without additional refueling. Large houseboats are equipped with tanks for 350 liters of fuel

We had a fabulous summer of houseboating and now during the winter time when the lakes are covered with ice our houseboats are parked in the harbour and waiting for their new season start in May. Online booking is available on our web site www.houseboat.fi

❓Where do our houseboats depart from?
All our houseboats are based in Heinola and all hires must depart from and return to our marina at Heinola harbor.

We offer circular routes with departures and arrivals from Heinola, but can do one-way routes also, available only upon request.
Heinola, a charming city located in the Päijänne Tavastia region of Finland, approximately 138 kilometers northeast of Helsinki, offers a beautiful and serene retreat for visitors. Nestled on the shores of Lake Ruotsalainen, Heinola boasts a picturesque setting amidst lush green landscapes and will amaze you with hundreds of islets that you can visit only traveling by houseboat.

A Houseboat Holiday is great fun for all ages, especially for families with children! ☀️🕶🐟💦🤸
Nature’s closeness provides great possibilities for exciting summer activities to share with your family.
In a houseboat, children have adequate space to play while the houseboat travels along the clean waterways of Finland. Even small children can enjoy the relaxing lake environment! Houseboats are equipped with all necessary security devices and messaging systems.
We will definitely provide you with child life jackets, as we have availability of different sizes depending on the age of the child.
🚴 We also have a large selection of bicycles for rent for any age and children can take fun cycling together with their parents.
