Sand and Water

Experience is Your Worst Teacher! Why! You take the test before listening to the lessons. This is a nudge before self-plaguing over personal pettiness, illusory success, being a CEO, whining about a perfect relationship, being famous, or making more money than you could ever spend.

An illusion, a zero-sum game, these too will pass, all are reduced to nothing one day. Mountains created by the last ice age are eventually nothing more than sand and water and millions of years gone by. Isn't it time to stop pretending otherwise?

Your Best Friend

I find it curious when people often stop themselves after experiencing the numbness of emotional pain or hardship. There seems to be a loop they follow, repeating the same mantra and following the same footsteps. Look at a field where animal trails are worn into the ground. Get the idea?

If it happened to you, how you might reconceive your life? What diverts many is their inclination of looking for an owner's manual or someone to tell them how to do it. What's disquieting about many self-help books and programs is they appeal to those who give up too easily. The "I give up" virus is rampant. Let someone else do the hard work so I don't need to think or imagine.

The immediate challenge is not sorting out the right way to imagine, but simply sitting quietly with a warm cuppa to imagine and begin. Solitude and reflection are like warm mittens in winter. Holding warm tea or coffee is soothing and helps sort out the rights and wrongs of it.

But we don't. We start from a moral premise versus the aesthetic or imaginative one. What's the right way to do something? For many, the first thing they think upon waking is, "Did I have a good dream or was it a bad one"? The first judgment taken is moral. It's not, 'Is this beautiful, or ugly'? Is it 'true or false'? No, it's, 'Is this right or wrong, good or bad'? That's very crippling to the imagination, your very best friend.

All is Consciousness

Thinning the trees and brush so younger ones can grow is a woodsman's task caring for the forest's sustainability.

In-kind, your mental understanding is enlarged by the removal of the underbrush of incorrect thinking.

You eventually will know that all is consciousness and consciousness is all.

Getting clarity about your level of consciousness helps reveal how any secondary cause is an ax.

Holding onto beliefs of an outside power, you are doomed to fight a losing battle.

A longtime friend Richard Voss, asked if I would share this post on mental illness... Maybe if people's heads weren't buried in the sand of ignorance and they took the time to understand, instead of judging and thinking it won't happen to them because they have the perfect family, life would be a little bit easier for people that do experience this! This hits close to home for me, for family and friends who live under this shadow. The days of 'it' not being talked about or being taboo should be over. In the most difficult moments of life you realize who your true friends are, and the people who really appreciate you. Unfortunately, most social media 'friends' aren't true friends. They will send you a "like" here and there, but in reality they do not take time to read your status if they see it's lengthy. More than half will stop reading right here, or have already scrolled on to the next post on their page. I decided to post this message in support of all those who continue to battle with their mental illness. Now, let's see who will have taken the time to read this lengthy post right through to the end. If you have read everything so far, please "like" it so that I can put a thank you on your page. More mental health awareness is urgently needed. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean people aren't suffering. Please, try to spare a little of your time with someone who may just want to talk (about anything). Talking can help us all to cope a little more, keeping things bottled up just makes it worse. Most people will say, "if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, I'll be there to help you" but will they? I believe a select few of my friends will post this, to show their support for those who may be struggling. You just have to copy and paste rather than sharing. I'd like to know who will take a minute out of their day to read this all the way to the end and then copy and paste it to their page, will you? If so, please write "done" in the comments. ReBirth

Gazing at spectacular scenery is inspiring. Rainbows, cloud shapes, campfires, water, sunsets, sunrises and mountains are contemplative moments. The muted shades, textures, contrasts and palette of colours intermingle and create something that touches me deeply. I’ve discovered through photography, there is another macrocosm within the microcosm, brand new and smaller worlds that lay within.

A spiritual path holds a similar aura of beauty observed from afar. Years ago I found myself drawn to meditation for reducing stress, eventually realizing that it’s presence properties were what I needed. This is what invites more of me to open and flows through in what I journal almost daily. Quantum also works this way with our intention; actually conspiring to marry intention and thought into being.

A closer look offers that the true beauty of the inner work process is noticing the incremental changes in within. An emerging presence, allowing what is, accepting there is a ‘me’ in a team, recognizing my personality and catching myself in the act. Actually showing up when it counts, helping a stranger just because, feeding birds, loving and cuddling pets. Changes – hmmmm… who would have thought until that closer, more thoughtful look.

An Ancient Mariner

I set sail from shore aeons past from a place I once called Home,
In a boat called ‘Life’, adventure I sought, so across the seas I roam.

I’m a sea-worthy vessel crafted by Soul, my mind thinks it knows the way,
My heart is the compass that sets the course and guides me along each day.

By night Soul looks heavenwards using Sirius to adjust my course,
With the stars for light and a companion moon I attune to a call from Source.

I oft’ spy sailors of other small craft as they rise on the crest of waves,
Arms waving wildly, a cheery hello, as winds push all t’ward the grave.

I set sail aeons ago for safe harbour leagues across the sea,
Wayward and longing to rest, I thank my stars ‘Home’ remembers me.

Intuition - A Wealth We Can Live By

What draws a distinction of the gambler and business man? I sense both have much in common. Each somehow taps into a synthetic sense, a something that if you ask them, neither can pinpoint exactly what it is. Ask and they drift into another place… their private space.

Intuition becomes possible when the knowing part reaches out in two directions:

the first pushes out and upwards, holding possibility asking what if? The second reaches towards a something already complete, is born, alive, already living and is whole.

Leadership - An Act Presence - (con't)

Presence - a person or something existing or present in a place that is unseen.

I took this picture yesterday afternoon at the lake. Examine it very closely. Something is hidden here? What is it you feel, sense, see or intuit exploring it?

Nurturing contact with our presence involve conditions covered by the two words: Contact and Impact.

Contact is a setting in your environment until now unknown or measured that has come to the mind. It’s something vague and indefinite that is making its presence felt. This something has usually has been sensed earlier as a theoretical probability, and then invoked by the directed and conscious attention of the one who has sensed its presence, and finally contact is made.
