Many people prefer to begin their winter tours in Helsinki to see the sights of the Finnish capital before heading north to Lapland. This is a good idea because Helsinki has many interesting places to visit. It happens when you spend too much time in Helsinki and don't know what to do with your free time. In such cases, we recommend that you visit the beautiful old city of Porvoo, immerse yourself in history by visiting the Suomenlinna fortress, or admire the city of Turku, Finland's first capital. A visit to the neighboring Baltic countries by cruise would also be a good option.
