⛴ The increase in fuel costs is a major environmental responsibility issue for Eckerö Line. If the departure of the ship is delayed for example by only 5 minutes, then this time must be made up at sea, which is why the ship consumes approx. 2000 liters more fuel than usual.
⛴ The speed of our ships is optimized, because by using our ships as efficiently and versatile as possible, we minimize the emission burden of our operations.
⛴ To ensure safe operation, regular maintenance work is carried out on the ships, which can only be done at the shipyard. By taking advantage of these docking times, several other technical maintenance, repair and improvement works are made at the same time, which help to reduce the fuel consumption of ships.
⛴ Emissions from our ships are measured and monitored on a ship-by-ship basis, and the results are forwarded to the EU and IMO.

Check out the instructions for using the mobile key:
▪️ Make a reservation and add a cabin. Add the passengers to the cabin when filling out the name list.
▪️ All passengers added to the cabin will get their own key by logging into the app with their reservation number and date of birth.
▪️ The cabin number appears in the app when you have passed through the departure gates in the terminal or gone through the vehicle check-in.
▪️ On board the ship, open the Eckerö Line app near the cabin door and select the cabin key. Bring the phone as close to the door lock as possible, after which the app will open the cabin door.
