🚨 First Weeks in Lapland: What a Ride! 🚨

The season’s off to a wild start! We’re talking snowstorms, epic Northern Lights, and even a few “oops” moments along the way. 🌨️✨ But hey, that’s all part of the adventure, right?

For some of you, Lapland has been a total dream come true, and for others, it’s been an extreme leap out of your comfort zone (shoutout to the brave souls who tried the Arctic swim 🥶). Either way, the vibes have been amazing and your feedback has seriously warmed our hearts. ❤️

There’s a rare sense of freedom out here. Ice skating on the frozen lake. 🧊💦 Lapland’s nature is wild, untouched, and truly inspiring place where vast forests, frozen lakes, and rolling fells create a landscape that feels almost mythical. Come slide with us in Saariselkä and Vasatokka very very sooooooon!!! 🥳⛸⭐️

Don't worry if you're new to ice skating or haven't skated in a while, we will make sure you have a fantastic time, helping you with some technique tips.💡🤓 We also have kicksleds that can be used and are the perfect option to enjoy the track if you cannot skate at all, or to have fun at the end of the session anyway.

When you venture up north, there's always the exciting possibility that the Northern Lights might make a magical appearance. This week in Lofoten, our travelers were treated to a spectacular show of the Aurora Borealis. The peak happened on the night of September 30th which of course is a sweet sweet delight to our travelers. Timetravels was born in early 2000, when group of young and passionate travel enthusiasts decided to open a next generation travel agency, aimed for young travellers aged 18-35 y.o. Our name in Finnish “Aikamatkat” is actually promise, which has two meanings - “Time travel” and “a quite some trip”.

Our mission is to organise fresh and fun tours to our destinations in Finnish Lapland, Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltic States, to provide lifetime experiences and unique activities, which are not possible if you travel individually.
