What a season it has been so far! Great northern lights, already closer to a couple of hundred happy faces on my tours (still going with small groups of max 8 people) and a loads of new beautiful friendships!

This is from last night, once again the show was just stunning. -28 degrees celsius doesn't feel that cold, when you have such a show going on 🤭

A happy guide is a happy guy!

What a show we had again two nights back!

The season has been crazy so far and it’s just getting started. I have had tours every night when the sky has been clear - lot of great auroras and happy faces.

What a show we had again a few days back! ✨

This time we got very lucky - the northern lights were visible already when we started the tour and stayed on the sky the whole night.

It was just a matter of finding a peaceful place in the middle of the nature without any other people around - I think we did succeed 🤩

A fine tour again last night!

The sky was bright and full of stars. Northern lights were not at their best but still we got to see something beautiful and there were great people on board!

What a special night it was!

Yesterday I had a proposal tour. Conditions were pretty much perfect for the whole evening with clear skies and the setting I built for the guests with the help of local Sámi artist turned out to be incredibly beautiful. 🤩

And of course, she said yes 💍 ❤ ✨

The northern lights season is again full on and I've started running my tours again! 🤩✨

The first tour of the season took us all the way to the arctic ocean in Norway. Finnish side was way too cloudy for any chances, luckily we found windows to the sky from the other side of the border.

It's going to be a great season once again!

This is one of my favourite shots so far this winter. We had an incredible show for the early evening a few nights back.

The longest tour of this winter was slightly over 9 hours (the conditions were okay but still we had to drive far to the Norwegian coast and wait for activity). A rather heavy but still successful night.

Then again the night I took this photo we had great northern lights straight when the tour started. It was only a matter of finding the best uncrowded spot to admire them.

I'm yet to have two similar tours, nature keeps on keeping this exciting every single time!

It's wonderful to see familiar faces again! Derek joined my tour with his family in November and he came back to Inari in February to try his luck again with the northern lights.

And this time he saw them 3/4 nights! Someone might consider him lucky but he made a great choice with accommodation (stayed at Giellajohka) and then again, in November he wasn't as lucky - we saw them only one evening for 15 minutes.

Perseverance pays off!

Sparkles of northern lights on the ground?! ✨

We saw something incredible on our last northern lights tour to Norwegian coast. This time the lights were not on the sky but on the coastline.

That phenomenon is called bioluminescent algae and if possible, it was even more magical than the northern lights. 🤩

Today is the Sámi National Day, buori sámi álbmotbeaivvi buohkaide!

I'm extremely lucky to be able to live and operate among the rich cultures of Inari Sámi, Skolt Sámi and Northern Sámi here in Inari.

I think it's extremely important all the people visiting Inari know they are in Sámi area and educate themselves during (and before) their stay here.

We had a small break of tours due to me (Samu) taking a small holiday and some unfortunate event including a reindeer and my van.

But now we're back again!

During the last tour on Tuesday the weather was slightly unstable. Luckily we were still able to find clear spots on the sky and of course the northern lights - once again totally worth it!

The perfect streak with finding the northern lights continues, fingers crossed it'll stay that way until the end of the season 🤞
