Last week I got the opportunity to fish for Perch together with my friend

Despite the cold water (5,5-6 degrees Celcius) Jonne caught a decent amount of big Perch on the Jerkbite SR 11 cm. I on the other hand caught most of my Perch on the CreCraw 8,5 cm rigged with a Cheburashka head.

Two entirely different lures parallelly catching fish while traditional shad jigs weren’t catching anything.

You always learn new stuff while fishing, even though you sometimes fail to understand why. 😅😅

Today we ran into some nice Zanders. Though being a bit picky they couldn’t resist the Twinteez Pelagic! A very nice day with some very nice people. Now a well deserved beer and sauna. 🙂

A while ago I got out on the waters with for some Perch fishing. The Perch weren’t biting so we changed to Zander instead with better success. This nice Zander took the 14,5 cm TwinTeez V2 in the color ”Lime”, as did several of its friends.

Pikemasters 2023 is on!

Yesterday the first episode of Pikemasters 2023 came online on Youtube channel. The first day of fishing takes place in my hometown Parainen.

GT’s are great fun on light tackle! This one, from my recent trip to Oman with GetAway Sea Angling, put up quite a fight on the Westin W6 Popping 20-100 gram rod.

The 12 cm Swim in the color ”Concealed Fish+” did the trick once again!

We did it! and me as Team Westin managed to win PredatorMasters 2023 which ended with celebrations at the boat fair in Helsinki yesterday!

A humble thank you to all the participating teams, everyone involved in the production and of course to my teammate ! What a great bunch of people you are!

Tonight at 19.00 utc +2 it’s time for the last episode of PredatorMasters 2023.

We are in the lead of Pike day and the whole competition as the grand finale is about to start. We are now going all in, trying to find the big ones!

For those of you attending the Vene 23 Båt boat fair today, we start a bit earlier, at 15.30. Join me and during the final moments of PredatorMasters!

For the PredatorMasters2023 extra day I went fishing for Perch in the Archipelago with Jani Mäkeläinen from Ruoto.

We had a really nice day out on the waters. Some fish caught and a lot of talk about fishing techniques for Perch and of course about Westin Perch lures and rods.

Me and did well during both Zander and Perch day, winning both. Now we need to stay focused and work hard if we want to secure the title!

Lake Pyhäjärvi where the PredatorMasters 2023 Perchday is in full swing also holds some beautiful Pikes like this one from the practice before the actual competition.

The clear water attracts the Pikes from far away and they will eagerly bite surprisingly small lures. This one took a 7,5 cm Stanley the Stickleback in the color ”Spawning Stickleback”. Quite the fight on my W6 Finesse T&C 5-15 g Perch rod! 🤣😅

The second part of the Perch day goes live tomorrow Saturday 19.00 utc +2 @ Canal Outdoor YouTube channel. After the first half of the day we are in the lead and things are looking promising indeed!

Yesterday we practiced how to use the Garmin Livescope. Passive and picky fish made it a bit difficult and we didn’t land that many fish, but the size was nice. The biggest fish that we landed measured 91 centimeters. 👍

All fish were caught on the proven Westin Shadteez Slim 18 cm in the color Headlight and the Twinteez 20 cm in the color Fireflake.

As this year is completely sold out I am now booking Spring 2023. Welcome aboard!
