So far in the last 4 years we managed to see auroras in all our aurora road trip😍

Tips on aurora hunting:

1 the most important thing that you need to be able to see the northern lights is clear skies. If you have clouds there will be no chance to see anything.

2 DON’T RELY ON KP INDEX. That is the worst mistake you can do😂 Kp index does not tell anything about real time aurora and what you need is to check the solar wind real time data: bt,bz, speed and density.

3 if you don’t know how to drive in snow DON’T rent a car and try to go on your own, road conditions in here can sometimes be quite bad mostly when temperatures rise above degrees and you really don’t want to save 100 euros to end up on the ditch😂

4 choose someone that knows what they are doing. Aurora is a game of patience and you need to know when and where to go for you to have the best chances. Sometimes you need also to know where to look and how long to wait🙂

5 be prepared for long nights🙂
