Want to see Auroras in Lapland? 😍

Here are a few simple tips that will help you:
- Check the weather forecast. At least some clear sky is needed to see auroras. When it's heavily cloudy - it's better to reschedule the tour.
- Solar activity needs to be high. Many apps nowadays can provide some idea of the forecasted activity, but keep in mind that KP index is not a very good reference, better look at the other data such as BT and BZ values.
- Get out of the city lights to a spot with good overview of the sky. Even full moon can make seeing northern lights more difficult.

We offer aurora tours taking you to spots perfect for watching auroras. And while we cannot control the weather, we let you reschedule aurora picnic/campfire/photo hunting tours for next suitable day by 16:00 (local time) on the activity day. ☺

We collected some tips for yo on seeing Auroras, save it✅:
- Check the weather forecast✨. Clear sky is needed or at least some gaps in the clouds to see auroras.
- Track the solar activity💥. Note, that KP is not the most relevant index for areas above the Arctic Circle. More important are: IMF direction "Bz value" (to be negative), and IMF strength "Bt value" (to be positive and high), and solar wind speed.
- Go out of the city lights🚙. You can book one of our aurora tours that will take you to good spots away from the light pollution with a good view of the sky.
- Be ready to stay up late evening🥱. Auroras are most active between 10pm and 1am. Time to get some fresh air before crawling into a warm bed 😉
- Be patient😻. As a natural phenomena, auroras cannot be 100% predicted, but stay patient and you may be rewarded with the show of a lifetime!
