We are Katalin and Karol, travelers from Hungary and Poland who love hiking, winter sports, spending free time outdoors and meeting new people. We like exploring and traveling, and to be able to do it as often as possible by saving on the costs, we always look for new friends to join and share the fun and expenses. And Lapland is full of amazing places to visit! We usually travel by our car to nat
ional parks or other interesting places. We either provide some gear if we have extra, or show you the place where it is possible to rent it. Good hiking shoes, backpack and will to adventure is needed :)
We are looking for some responsible and respectful people who like hiking and outdoor activities. Each person in the group has an important role in the atmosphere and result of these experiences. You’ll ideally have some experience in hiking or winter sports, but it’s not mandatory when we do easy hikes or short trips. Obviously, if we overnight somewhere, the common tasks are shared between us: chopping wood, making fire, cooking, cleaning the place after us, etc., depeding on the needs
We all share the costs of overnight, gas and common expenses (for example parking fees, fire wood or gas for the stove) and a small fee to help running the car: servicing, insurance, tires, equipment... Often we ask the fees before the beginning of the trips, so people don’t cancel last minute when accommodation or activities have already been booked. Neither us nor the other participants want to loose money, because the common costs rise up. We will give you some ESTIMATED costs before every trip. Especially the longer trips are planned more detailed and we often need to stick to a time frame, but of course we can shape them together as long as everybody is okay with the changes. We have been around 50 countries, hiking, backpacking and also on road trips. In Finland we have spent over 5 years. If you’ve already travelled with us, do not hesitate to share pictures and leave comments. Just mention which trip you joined and when it was. Looking forward to going to more trips together!
