Finland is today 106 years old and the whole country has a beautiful fresh white coat of snow to celebrate it, and the short day showed us some deep blue skies also - the colours of the Finnish flag. Although Finland has no high mountains there are lots ski resorts all over the country 🇫🇮❄️

🍂🍁 Autumn is here but we are working on next season improvements. Happy to announce that in 2024 we have already been booked from mid-May to mid-September so only early spring and autumn foliage/fishing/berry and mushroom-picking slots left! 🍁🍂

We are winter ready! The cottage has gotten a new coat of paint, from red to black. For me grey and black reflect the nature’s own colour palette and make the cottage blend better into the nature 🌲🌳.

Autumn is here 🍁. Time to get the cottage ready for winter as snow is forecasted already this week 🌨️.

Our sauna has gotten a new coat of paint and we are starting major decking works - we will add a large lower level desk with a Palju ( a Finnish hot tub without bubbles, heated with wood). Can’t wait to try it out next summer!

Sauna got a new colour last year and this autumn we will start building a bigger deck with great views of the lake and stairs down to our sandy beach 🏖️
