Hello everyone!😇

I have sad news to announce, our reindeer team has fallen with a flu and there isn’t any man or woman left standing to do our tours for tomorrow. After all we are not machines 😕This is why I have to cancel Friday 20th of December reindeer tours. 🥺

Our team has worked so hard today to finish today’s tours and take care of the reindeer despite everyone not feeling 100% to work. I am so proud of our team for working the extra mile today! ❤️

If you have booked with us for tomorrow REINDEER TOUR you will receive a full refund in 5-10 bank days. We are quite fully booked so rescheduling is looking nearly impossible. (If you are able to reschedule let us know, we can try to see if it’s possible).

Our evening tour SKYVIEW is also canceled as we have no staff for it for tomorrow night.

HUSKY TOUR is going as usual.

Hello everyone! It has been a busy week and we are getting ton of messages about the current snow conditions! 😌

Without proper snow conditions, reindeer or husky sledding can be unsafe. The equipment can get damaged, animals can get hurt, and there’s a risk of injury to people. This is why we wait for better conditions to ensure a safe experience.

During these times, instead of canceling your tour, we invite you to visit us for alternative activities and enjoy the magic of the season!

Hoping for more snow! As soon as we get more snow our tours are running as usual 😇

Working with reindeer and outdoors in Lapland isn’t for the weak 😂🤙🏻 last couple weeks I have been working with our new team member Manu! He is not only helping me to set up everything for the winter season but you will also meet him in our tours! Welcome Manu! 😇🙏🏼

This time of the year everything is about getting things ready for the winter! Anything outdoor needs to be build now, not when we are below -20c and everything covered in snow 🥲

Weather took a turn and now it will be raining for a while, that doesn’t mean we can stop everything 😅 weather is now +1c and raining a lot 😭 wish luck for us! 😌 a bit more and we are done!

Looking for a great team!

Job would start beginning of November till March.
In your job you guide our guest to husky kennel, with reindeer and doing Aurora tours with snowmobiles or snowshoeing.

Job is really intense as it is a seasonal work! We work when everyone else has holidays! Remember that! 😇😌

In your work it would be good to know how to handle pressure, different people and surprising weather conditions. We work outdoor everyday, there is never a same day. I will teach you how to handle animals such as reindeer daily, how to maintain our facilities etc. but of course if you have previous experience with snowmobiles or any tour/safaries that would be great advantage! 🤙🏻

I’m looking people who are social and like to try new things. Your work language will be English, any other language is a plus! 🤩

Accommodation is just 5min from work and I offer a car so you don’t need a car to come to work. Accommodation is also next to the slopes, what a great opportunity to explore Levi Slopes 😌 you will be having your own room, but sharing with 4 people accommodation. These will be your co workers or workers from another tour company, in the same field!

I pay fair salary, more than minimum wages so ask a fitting salary for your skills! 😉

A bit over a year ago I hang this sign and it was a big step for me! “Janita’s reindeer” had a nice ring, it was my own thing and my own reindeer. But how did I got here?

2019 I quit my job and started the journey to build my own business. I was 22 years old back then. At the same time I also applied for a school, to get papers for reindeer herding (environmental section) I thought this might help me in the future. My father gave me his earmark (how you tell who is the owner of the reindeer) but at the time it was empty, just a piece of paper. Not a single reindeer in it.

I contacted my cousin, (she’s like a queen of the reindeer!🔥) and I told I want to become a reindeer herder, I wanted to work with reindeer and in the nature. And so I started my little journey to make reindeer my way of life, my very reason to live in the north.

I come from a reindeer herding family but I didn’t get the chance to continue my father’s farm as it was sold. At the time it felt crushing and I would ask my teacher in the school why am I doing this? Why keep going if everyone else in my class would go home and continue their families farms, but me not.
My teacher said “So what? They are tied to continue the work of others. You, you other hand will build your own legacy “.

And back today, 2024 I’m 28 years old and running business by myself. Eanan is owned by an indigenous young woman and I’m proud to say that. Nowadays I employ 3-4 guides for the season. I have a team behind me helping with developing my business, very best accountant!🔥I have my husky team ❤️and of course my friends and family who supports me. 😇

In the upcoming 2024-2025 season, we are offering reindeer tours (1km), Husky tours (3km), and Aurora tours via skyview sled pulled by snowmobile and snowshoeing with reindeer feeding. Each tour is also available for private booking.

Hello everyone😇

This is Janita from Eanan.

I want to address some recent changes. As many of you may have heard, Victor and I have decided to go our separate ways. While Victor is now pursuing his dreams in Alaska with more sled dogs, Eanan remains my primary focus. From the beginning, running this business has been my dream and my vision.

My family has deep roots in this area, and reindeer have always been a part of our heritage. Eanan will continue and remain under my leadership, maintaining the same high-quality services you have come to expect. There will be some changes, but rest assured that reindeer, huskies, and many more activities will remain part of our offerings in the future.

Regarding bookings, we faced several issues with our website and booking system last season. To address these, I am currently updating everything, which is taking a bit more time then anticipated. I appreciate your patience during this process.

My goal is to open sales in July or August, and I will keep you updated here.

Today with reindeer it was -28-32c but where we do husky tours it gets colder and close to -40c in the lakes where is open area 🥶 this of course puts our guest at risk of frost bites in the face/fingers/toes that we don’t want anyone to get😌❤️

Hopefully tomorrow gets a bit warmer❤️🥲
