NavisSpace is a two-year joint project with a consortium of partners based in Finland. Åbo Akademi University, Kone, Kudos Design, Meyer Turku, SeaKing, Aalto University and PBI Research Institute will develop new solutions for how the early stages of planning of the cruise ships is carried out. The focus is on how public passenger spaces could be designed in the future to improve sustainability, reduce the risk of infection, make the spaces more multifunctional and at the same time improve the cruise experience. The project is a part of Meyer Turku shipyard's research and development program NEcOLEAP with an ambitious goal to enable climate-neutral ships in the cruising industry.
