Today I had the privilege of standing in for our Managing Director James Sowane as Chief Guest at the 2025 Prefect Induction for Nokonoko District School, Naduri Village in Sigatoka Valley.
TEWAKA has been fortunate enough through incentive and conference programs we have serviced; that have allowed us to support the school with donations in kind ranging from an assortment of school stationery, water bottles, sporting equipment, laptops and tutorials. To our partners and your clients, vinaka vakalevu for supporting one of our core CSR Values, Education. 🙏
I was asked by the Head of School in my speech, to align their school motto, "Education is Wealth to Success" to their role and the role of teachers and parents.
My address was in two parts; firstly I addressed the young leaders directly on how critical their responsibility was to the school, their teachers and the students they serve; I allowed the young leaders to engage with me by saying with authority some key phrases:
Education Breaks Barriers!
Education Can Empower Me!
Education Creates Opportunities!
I LOVED their energy as they resounded these words in a packed church where the event was being held..
I then addressed the parents on a more serious note stressing the need to be Present and to Prioritize the needs of their children over all else.
