It’s with a heavy heart that we wish to announce the passing away of Haji Ayoub Dean.
Haji Ayoub Dean was the chairman of the Shahabud Dean Transport for over 50 years and the pillar and heart of the family and the community.
He taught us the joy of sports and held our hands whilst he taught us to play soccer, hockey, cricket and golf. He was very staunch member and of the Raiwaqa rugby team.
He taught us the value of education and gave us all a pen ( fountain pen off course) and encouraged us to read and write.
He bought us books and magazines to read ( yes there was no internet back then) . He had a fascination for "The Economist" magazine and only now does one realise the importance of this esteemed magazine ( yes he was ahead of his time)
He taught us appreciate culture; the essence of ghazal , the joy in poetry , the elusiveness of sangeet, the subtleness of raag, the wonders of science and the beauty of art.
He taught us to travel , to eat, to venture out , to expand our thinking, to be bold in our vision, to foster our curiosity and never contemplate failure.
He taught us to live a “full life”. A life filled with adventure, art, culture , joy and laughter …. lots and lots of laughter.
Finally and most importantly he taught us the value of family and friendships. Nothing is more important then our relationships with our loved and ones.
Haji Ayoub Dean has finally left us at a youthful age of 94.
We ask that you pray for him, and bless him with your kind memories.
