The Leadership Fiji 2023 team is thrilled to share their achievements for their Fellows to date made possible with Wainaloka Village in Ovalau. Spanning 9 months, LF23 has updated the Wainaloka Village Hall equipping it with a library area and fully tiled floors. In anticipation of their next move, LF23 partnered with experts Savenaca Siwatibau Waqa and Naomi Tiko who held an essential talanoa on cyber security and online wellbeing with residents of all ages in Wainaloka Village.

#LF2024AdvocacyChallenge: Today the world observes International Day of Older Persons. This year's theme is Ageing with Dignity: The importance of Strengthening Care and Support Systems for Older Persons Worldwide.
As part of their Advocacy Challenge, Leadership Fiji 2024 Team Tagimoucia would like to share this short video that has a few key messages on how we all can help improve the lives of our senior citizens and allow them to age with dignity and live long and meaningful lives.
According to the United Nations, population ageing is a major global trend reshaping society worldwide. Life expectancy at birth now exceeds 75 years in half of the world's countries, 25 years longer than in 1950.
It is estimated that by 2030, older persons will outnumber youth globally, with this increase most rapid in developing countries. This demographic shift has significantly transformed the caregiving landscape, encompassing a wide range of needs for both paid and unpaid support in formal and informal settings.
Let us all think carefully about how we can make a difference in the lives of the Older People in our homes, communities and our beloved nation of Fiji. 🇫🇯
