Cara's Travel & Immigration Services

Cara's Travel & Immigration Services We provide migration/immigration consultation and representational services In 2007 she left Immigration NZ and started this business and has never looked back.

Cara's Travel & Immigration Services is owned and run by Kalisi Ratuwara an iTaukei businesswoman. Kalisi has extensive work experience on administration, finance, auditing and migration. She previously worked for the Fiji Government on various roles before joining Immigration NZ as finance officer and later as visa/verification role in 2004. Kalisi is very passionate about her role of helping peo

ple obtain positive results on their visa applications. Unlike other agencies, this business normally invites prospective clients to attend a consultancy session where they get to understand if their visa will most likely be approved or declined based on current immigration policies of a country. This session is the most important part of our business system and we charge a fee of at least F$40-$200 depending on the visa category(Consultation fee ONLY).This is how our clients trust us. As for NZ visas we are only able to provide administration support to our Immigration Adviser Lavenia Emberson who is based in Dubai. Lavenia was Kalisi's former Immigration branch manager in Fiji few years back but has since left to start her own business in Dubai. We are a very great team so you can continue to trust.what we can do for you

We boast ourselves off having at least a 96% approval rate yearly. We are trust worthy, we are honest, we enjoy what we do and we can do this for you

Another travel protocol

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services informs members of the public intending to travel overseas, the requirements, and the application process for the issuance of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Traveling individuals are required to send an application for the vaccination certificate to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services via email: [email protected] and attach scanned copies of the following documents:

Vaccination card (front and back copy),
Biodata page of the passport,
Travel itinerary (as proof of travel),
Permit Number or Citizen Number if not a Fijian citizen.
The complete set of documents when received will be used to verify the individual’s vaccination status, this process is expected to take 3-7 days. Delays may be experienced if the information provided is not verifiable with the vaccine registration system.

Any individual who has been vaccinated in another country will need to provide an internationally recognized vaccination certificate issued by that country, therefore, they need not apply for a vaccination certificate from the Fijian Government.

A gentlemen visited my office few minutes ago after receiving his declined/refused/rejected letter of application for a visa to the Australian immigration. The gentlemen came to pay for his consultation fees in order to understand the reasons of denial.

During our session he said he paid a total of $1500 for his documentation including sponsorship to an agent. During the whole process he didnt understand anything but only that he is ready to go to Australia after paying these fees.

Upon examination, the client was a straight out high risk client who was not supposed to be encouraged to lodge in the first place.

I am posting this to encourage those that dont understand anything about visa processes, regulations and policies to come forward and book for a consultation session. You only get to pay $60 or $80 depending on your current status. After this session you will understand so many things and will never be duped into paying hefty sums to people who only care about filling their pockets

Im listening to fijione news on parliament where the labour minister explains its ministry's efforts and continued assistance in negotiations with employers in Australia and New Zealand for work offers for our Fijians.

I thought to myself why havent they sought this same opportunity by seeking out the US H2A and H2BVisas for Agricultural and non Agricultural work. Fiji was included in the list of countries where US employers could petition for workers since 2011 yet we have not heard of any Fijians being petitioned through the governments foreign employment scheme.

Maybe they dont know?

Bula everyone.

It has been such a hectic week juggling work and family affairs and I thank God for his never ending love and mercy.

Yesterday, I took my daughter for her orientation program at Veiuto primary in time to attend the APTC talk business/Talk careers at the AusAid Lecture theatre,USP as I was invited to be a guest speaker, to touch on migration.

I was accompanied by my daughter and her 2 teenage cousins. On arrival we were seated at the very front row together with the 400+ student and teachers plus 8 other guests.

Because migration was a hit topic for the crowd I was asked to be the last to deliver.Other Guests included Sakiusa bainivalu who spoke on attending interviews, Tevita Gade from RBF on SMSE, Elrico Munoz from SPBD, Makereta from SCC, a rep from ANZ,Wespac, Young Entrepreneurs Scheme.

Just as I was called, I stood up to take the mic only to be told that my email sent with my powerpoint presentation didnt have any attachment. You can all imagine how I felt in front of this huge crowd but I was encouraged by my faith that I must apologize and just speak, that the words would come. Sure enough it did and it was a miracle.

I was asked numerous questions.Few I would like to highlight at least 2 here.

1. Can I migrate after I graduate with my qualification?
My answer: No
Migration involves few factors that are collectively taken into consideration in order. They are: age, qualifications, skilled job offer, health, character, years of work experience, etc. Even though APTC's qualifications are classified as an Australian qualification in its framework the qualifications offered by APTC are equivalent to level 3 or 4 in both Australia n NZ so these quals are not enough to gain points for qualifications.

2. How about,Im a trades person can I migrate?
My answer: It depends because I am not sure how comparable your APTC qualification is to a Fiji trades certificate. Now this is funny because I asked him whether it was equivalent to class 1,2 or 3.Same time he replied it equivalent to class 3. So I said, then thats the lowest of the 3 classes which means u cannot migrate. He said but class 3 is the highest so I had to correct him.

I gotta say happy sabbath to you all, till next time.
