Our traditional village, Malakati, is located in the beautiful Yasawa Islands in Fiji. We welcome you to experience our way of life, as well as take some time to relax in your own private Island getaway. You will be welcomed by warm and friendly villagers who will show you to your own private Bure, located right on the beach front. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, all prov

If you would like to participate in the usual upkeep of the village or day to day tasks, you are more than welcome to join in with us! However, the villagers of Malakati island promote "Fiji Time" (Time is not an issue!), so if you would prefer to relax and unwind on the beach during your stay, feel free to do so. TRADITION
Upon arrival to our village, it is custom to greet the Chief and present him with a Kava Root (this can be found in any local market in Fiji) as well as a $10 (FJD) donation. A modest dress code is appreciated as a sign of respect when in the village. This includes covered shoulders and for the ladies, covered knees. Please refrain from wearing caps and sunglasses. This does not apply to your Bure or Beach. Bikinis and Trunks are acceptable! GETTING TO US
It is easy to reach our Village from Port Denarau (30mins from the Airport). Please take the Yellow Boat (The Yasawa Flyer) to Blue Lagoon resort, informing the crew that you are intending to stay at Malakati Island. You can book your ferry tickets through 'Awesome Adventures' online. We will organise for a boat to collect you from Blue Lagoon to take you to our Island

Price for the Bure: $60 (FJD) per night
An additional $20 per person, per day for all your meals
